"Man GODS" like MAHAVIR, JESUS, BUDHAA...they were not immortal. So do you think can we become immortal using SCIENCE or latest technology. I am talking about Physical Immortality so I have to mention about "STEM CELLS", Stem cells used to create new organ tissue, Scientists have moved a step closer to growing live human organs... Imagine creating an organ in the lab that can be transplanted into a patient without risk of rejection...Using stem cells procedure we can make body parts that we can implant right back into patients.....so my question is can we achieve immortality through this way? PLEASE REPLY!

No, I don't believe that there will ever be human immortality. The reason that I believe this to be the case is because of the fact that regardless of whether or not there is a way to replace every organ in the body that quits functioning, I don't think that there will ever be a way that they will be able to replace the brain and the brain is just like the CPU of a computer, if it doesn't work correctly then the entire unit ceases operation.

An emphatical "No" to immortality, even those organs created via stem cell age with time. Let me ask you something, what would you do if you where immortal? Would life not become boring after a couple of 100 years?

i think we can live much longer then we do now without a doubt once the ability to repair or replace bodyparts with stem cells becomes a reality. we just got to be able to repair ourselves faster then mother nature intended. i don't really think one could live forever though as some accident would more then likely happen over time. also i have my doubts about how much one persons body can stand repairing it self as well as replace bodyparts because the body might just start to screw up after it has been worked on so much. then again such ways of doing things is a very delicate procedure after all were talking about the human body that has soft tissue and not some type of car or electronic. you can never be too careful when it comes to stuff like this.

impossible, that is all i can say. The only thing that immortal is only God-- if u believe in Him. even everyday human try any tech to find the way, i think they can't find it. maybe just try to add the number of age like live for a hundred years, but they still die

No it is not possible. They can only replace some parts and it is far from perfect, but not the WHOLE body. I don't even think it will ever happen! They don't even have an immortal lab mice, how much harder it will be on humans!

I've seen, read, heard about people trying to prove they're immortal - it just doesn't work... ...emphasis on the word "trying"!!

Hi crazy, though its true that there has been tremendous improvement in the field of science so much that now it is possible for humans to think about achieving immortality. However,if you do good work in your lifetime then there is always a fair chance that you will be remembered. We remember Jesus, Buddha and Mahavir for their deeds. It is not important how long you live but how you lead your life is of vital importance.Stem cells can be used to treat diseases but it should not be extended to making human being immortal.

If you mean that anyone could achieve immortality then the answer is NO because the situation would be very complicated then. It's really difficult now to maintain life only let alone be immortal. Then it would completely disturb the balance of life. Everyone would be immortal then and would have no ending anywhere. The resources would be depleted faster than ever and birth of new children would be considered a curse instead of a joy. I just hope no one finds anyway in which man will be immortal. For everything that begins there should be an ending! Cheers!
