I supposed to open a new discussion pertaining to this topic, but had time to search first and was lucky that there is already a discussion here.Too old but give me my insight about this book. I have time to read this book when I bought this last year and this is awesome. It helps a lot on how to open my eyes and have ideas about the theories of constraints.People always talking about to increase productivity but doesn't know that it is meaningless unless they know what their goal is. One story here is a bunch of kids ( troop ) to hike through the forest following a blazed trail to "Devil's Gulch" headed by Mr. Rogo. This book is great since while you are reading the story, the author relate it to real working environment specially manufacturing.Have time to read it guys it is awesome.

The topic is "process improvements" this book has been written with backdrop of an industry and written in the style of a simple novel..through a very interesting theme, the author takes us thru the complicated terms like productivity,constraints...evry person who is responsible for imrpoving process in his plant must read this.Thru this book one easily understands the Theory of constraints which is now used as a gr8 tool for business improvements in many major industries...hope u got a feel by this..thanks.
