I really like to totally eliminate this weakness of mine that whenever i feel hurt and angry, i can't control the feeling of crying out loud. I tried my best not to cry since the time I got a lecture from a special person, yet, i can't do it. I think this is me. A friend of mine tells me that crying is very good in washing out our pains and hurts. Is it true?

hello joddie!
Indeed, it seems crying washes out our pains and hurts, but in reality, it only provides us the release of our emotions. if we are sad about something and if we have noone to talk to to talk it out, the best option is indeed to have a good cry, to release whatever is it you're holding in, inside you.
whether it washes away your hurts and pains, depends on the person. There are people who seems to put all their problems behind after they had a good cry, they feel a little better in fact. although, we know that crying does not erases the pain or hurt, it just makes you feel better about it. for myself, i too would cry when there's something sad that bothers me but most of the time, i try to hold it back because when i cry, i get runny nose, my head throbs with pain after and my eyes get so puffy that i looked like i'd been bitten by an insect. i would rather have a good laugh or sleep, so that when i woke up i would have a fresher perspective on the issue that is making me sad.
