Ok, I have my own home network connected, and I like it very much. With all three of my computers, they all running Windows 7, and the fourth is running Windows XP. I simply follow instruction, they are connected fine and smooth. There another question just pop in my head, and hopefully someone can solve this mystery for me. What if I have a laptop running Mac OS; another computer running Windows 7; and a third computer running Linux, Ubuntu. How can I connect them to build a home network?

yes,of course you can.as long as they have same connector they can communicate each other and build your network.
