Have you ever taken a decision/step that eventually saved your life? Do you believe in one's instincts? Have you ever felt you just saved yourself by your instincts? If my father had not taken this step, I would not have lived to tell my story here on mylot. In fact i would have died at the age of almost 11 years. What happened is that our whole family went shopping, my little brother and my parents. We parked our car on a one way lane, right near the intersection where another road joined these two lanes to form a 'T' shape. I wanted to stay in the car for some reason, while others went to buy something. Then dad restarted the engine and parked it 2 meters ahead of where he had parked earlier. Just because there was an electric pole over there where we parked. Our car was in front the pole. The driveway was wide so we cud park there. But dad moved the car 2 meters further and parked. Okay, so they left and i was alone in the car, playing something i don't remember, hehe. After a few minutes a speeding truck rampaged across the road with uncontrollable speed and it was coming from that other road which formed the T shape and hit the divider on the one way lane and flew in the air and smashed that pole where our car was parked earlier!! The truck was in the air, Crashed that way!! I don't know what happened to the driver. But the vehicle had lost it's brakes. Soon hearing the accident our parents rushed to me, and we left that place for good. We were thankful to God nothing happened to any of us! Did you ever think, that in a way instincts are God's gifts as blessings ? Do you have any such story to share? Thank you.. Have a nice day.

Wow Voldi, at least you are still here with us. That must have been a nasty experience. Something like that never happened to me and i surely hope it won't, though. TATA.

Hello Saphrina, You are right, i am so with you all. I hope you never face anything like this, ever Saphrina. I was terrified when that happened, i could only hear a large bang and sparks from the electric pole. I don't know what happened there as i was peeping through the rear wind shield, but my parents rushed towards me back and we drove off for good because it would have been bad if we saw any nasty scenes out there. Thank God.

I have such a nice Voldi. We never know when we will be in such a situation, Voldi, as it isn't for us to decide what can and will happen, unfortunately.

The only thing is that we should not solely rely on our instincts. That gut feeling comes on our own, and we have to learn to recognize it.

yeah,it's really important to trust your own instincts cause it can save a life by learning to listen to it. i had experienced having instincts but sometimes i had ignored them and i find troubles by not listening to it. most of the time my instincts are real and can be trusted, though i am just not listening to it. well,i have learned that lessson now and i know instincts can be our guide to be in better life.

hi Voldrex oh yes I relied on my instinct of fear. My sister and i were planning on going back to South Dakots to take my sister bac k and for me to warn them that their 32 yearold daughter was going to get married. We were in Tempe Arizona and wanted to fly home. On the morning we were to board the plane at 11 oclock I got a gut feeling we d id not want to get on that airplane. I could not shake it so told my sister we were going to change our reservations to 2 p;m instead., she was angry but when we turned on the tV we heard late breaking news flight 201 out of Phoenix to denver and points west has just collided with a smaller plane over the Grand Canyon, it is feared all passengers were killed. that was the flight we were supposed to be on. wow. I since then always pay attention to my gut feelings.

Oh my God. You are so lucky Hatley! That was so sad to hear. I am glad you took the right decision even though you and your sister had to hurry up. I believe we should always listen to such feelings and act accordingly, who knows what might be coming for us. Let us thank God. Take care.

Well I got a well-mannered son in process. :) You know voldi - I think all that we think or do is through chemicals. There are only specific bonds possible with chemicals. While we still have a long way to go to get the actual sequences - I can just say what happens to us or the way we think is actually a sequence of events before. Why did your father think of moving the car? That thought occuring to him was a part of that sequence. It is not in our hands as to what we think or should think, much as people would like to tell you otherwise. At the most, we can change the thoughts by doing something else. But what has to happen will happen because of that network of events that become active. You may call it instincts. I have plenty of them. :)

Hello vandy, :) Hehe.. That is a nice way of thinking, interesting actually. It was probably the pole that my dad moved the car, and that was a major occurrence in the chain of events. I am lucky, i guess it was not the time for me to go away. :) Take care, mommy.

i have been involved in a recent motor accident yesterday... and it just happened, i was very careful driving my motorcycle, but the "motor-rela" driver just carelessly run his way to the street, luckily, i have avoided a liitle impact, but it hit me in my arms the front side of the vehicle... and we have a discussion, not that very long, but, i don't like to be delayed, and left the street, AND IT IS REALLY CLEAR THAT THE MISTAKE IS ON HIS SIDE--- ALL THE BYSTANDERS ARE ON MY SIDE... IN FACT-- WHILE I WAS LEAVING THE SCENE, NO ONE TRIED TO PURSUE me.... I really thank God i just got a slight bruise.... May God Bless us All, Always...

Hello dweebs, What is the problem with some people. I mean they don't follow the traffic rules and when something bad happens they choose to argue too. It's so frustrating to deal with such people. Oh, that was recent. I am glad you were not hurt, and the other person too. But, then argument starts and there are people watching. Of course, the people found fault in the person coz probably he was going the wrong way neglecting the traffic rules. Anyways, thank God for keeping safe.
