Hey mylotters, good day. Well I was just wondering if it's important or even necessary to tag a discussion after posting a comment in it? Last time I used to tag it but now I don't because I can't find any good words to tag it. Please enlighten me on this. Thanks.

Tagging is not an absolute necessity, and that's why you are given the option if you wish to skip that. But, it is good if you would tag it so that your message is categorized with similar messages and would get the attention of the community. Happy myLotting !

But it's already in a common Interest section. How does tagging differentiate?

It's good that you tag I tag every single thing i post on discussions, comments, pictures, responses, even my messages lol. If you ask why I tag everything well the reason is because people don't realize the most mylottes find discussions using the search engerine. Because the more tags and the better tags the more chance someone will leave you a response to your discussion. So it increases your chance and people tagging when they comment or post a response will help the person who post discussion as well lol. So yeah the more tags the better and it will help increase your earnings

As much as possible, you should give good tags to discussions that you start or even find in interesting to participate on. If you don't put appropriate tags, others would not be able to find them when they try to search for such discussions. Whenever I don't have any idea on the right words to use when I am about to tag a discussion, I just read the title or the discussion itself to find some words that would really help to better make that discussion appear as one of the results in case members would try to search for similarly tagged discussions.

It isn't absolutely necessary. But it can be helpful. It gets your discussion seen in the right category.

Tagging will be useful when someone is searching for a particular topic. For example, when you respond to a topic called "Michael Jackson" and you put a tag called "Black Or White" and someone uses that line while searching, that will be possible he or she will discover the topic you've just responded. Well, just skip the tag screen if you cannot find any kind of words, or if somebody else has put the necessary tags. That's safe.

Hi Judge, It is not absolutely necessary. However, if you want to increase the chance of getting your post noticed and being responded by others, it is better to put tags, making others' search easy. Good tags are often those that are precise and to the point and is very common for people to think of. If you can't think of good ones, you might want to browse others' topics and take pointers from there.

in reality tags should be useful just when a person will search a similar discussions or related to the topic she/he are seearching and so your discussion or post can be find easely..but apart this if you decide to skip the tag step nothing of more will mean to those discussion or post too!!

I don't tag my posts but I tag my discussions. It's a tedious thing to do, if you ask me. But I think tagging everything is better because people can easily find you.

Hiya Judge, Tag words I use them the best way I can. I am not going to get it right every time but I do have a go and try to match the best way I can. They are just keywords that go with the topic of the discussion that´s all.
