Sachin might be one of the greatest cricketers of all time but I dont think he is a good captain at all.We have seen him when he was the captain of the Indian team & the results speak about his captaincy.
Now again during this ongoing Airtel Champions T20 in the first game he did not utilize full quota of the frontline bowlers against Highveld Lions instead he asked bits & pieces bowlers to bowl 4 overs. These 4 overs cost 49 runs for his team.Ryan Mclaren bowled only one over & Harbhajan 3 overs.
Then again in the match against South Australian Redbacks he asked Zaheer & Bhajji to bowl in the death.Everyone knew that Zaheer last played a match more than 2 months ago & Bhajji is not at all good at death.25 runs were required in the last 2 overs which were bowled by Zaheer & Bhajji.Zaheer gave away 14 runs in the 19th over & Bhajji the remaining 11 runs in just 3 balls. He could have kept 2 overs of Malinga at the death .
What do you say?

Yes, true… I too was wishing for the attack of Malinga at the slog overs… I think Sachin by nature is very conservative player…he plays to the rules and so he chose experience over age and speed. Maybe he thought that the experience of Zaheer and Bhajji would see the MI thru but that did not happen.
He captained India for a short spell and was not very impressive as during his short tenure (however, most Indian captains in those days were non-effective to say the least). Also, I feel the MI cant look at anybody else beside Sachin for the captaincy…maybe it would look like an insult to the identity of the team itself!

..but still everyone knows that Malinga is a better T20 bowler than the rest in the squad.Agreed that no other player is worth to lead this Mumbai Indians side but I still hope for a better replacement for the side.

Well krupesh strategy went wrong because of too many drop catches in this match against Redbacks. If those catches which were taken then the openers would not have scored 100 runs without losing any wicket. I think Mc laren is having some injury problem in the first match that is why he did not play against the Redbacks. Selection of Bravo in the second match was wrong. Bravo, Zaheer and Harbhajan have recovered from injuries and they were not in good form. Sachin has no choice to bowl out Malinga because Redbacks were hitting more then 10 runs per over to Bravo and Pollard. Mc Laren was not playing and Zaheer too was giving away runs. Sachin could depend only Malinga and Murtaza Ali. So, he brought them at a time which he would not like to bring them but wickets were not falling to other bowlers. These two came and took wickets. I feel it was a bad day for Sachin and he is not having that much luck like Mahender Singh Dhoni. With captaincy skill luck too needed if that is not there, what ever strategy is implemented on the field, it will not work out. At present for Mumbai Indians, bowlers are not in good form right now. In IPL Zaheer and Harbhajan were in great bowling form. Mc Laren and Pollard use to ball tight line and lengths, that is why MI was able to reach finals very easily. Presently MI is playing with three bowlers who are in bad bowling form and they are Bravo, Zaheer and Bhajji. Any captain will not do anything with such bowling attack and added to that fielding was very hopeless and lot of catches were gone done.. So, overall it was bad day for Sachin and his team. I hope they pounce back in the remaining matches..
