I remember when we had our dog puppy it was a toy dog. my mom used to have a lot of money to spare - back then and well she even hired a dog trainer for our puppy to learn the basics. he he
we eventually did not continue because he ran out of stuffs to teach our dogs already and we do not ahve the time to really redo the tricks for our dogs to practice.
What about you? Have you also hired a professional dog trainer for your dogs to learn some tricks? How was it?

Ive been thinking to hire a trainer for my 2 german shepherds but cant afford it. i never want them tied but because of security reason they had to be tied. they would run outside and chase other animals. i dont get to play with them bec. when they see me, they would be all over me, run me over. I have weak bones, cannot afford to be tackle down by 2 big dogs.. during their younger yrs. and i was much still healthy.. they were not tied, they would just walk around and when they go out and i would call them they would obey and go back in the house with not much stress. i know they can be train easily but i am afraid of them though.

I didn't hire a professional dog trainer, and I won't do that. It is such a pleasure to train your dog, and the bond between you and your dog become so strong if you do all the training!
Some people say they don't have time to train their dogs, but, as they say "time is money" couldn't they buy some time with the money, instead of buying the services of a dog trainer?
