hello mylotters, I was wondering if any of you have any ideas of topics that associatedcontent will always offer upfront payment for? What are the topics that earn you the most money on associatedcontent?

I agree with the other people that have posted. Research the current popular keywords and write about those topics. I tried to post 2 different articles about things I made money on before and they rejected them. Best of luck to you!

I agree with the others... keep up on what's current; write about things that are going on at the moment. Even that will not guarantee upfront payment, but it will give you a better chance. Look at the articles they promote and that should help. I seldom even ask for upfront payment any more and haven't written anything for them for months, but I get a monthly payment from them just the same. Upfront payments are really no better than page view payments, just maybe a little faster.

i think anything current like keyword articles or anything to do with business or saving money will work.

When I do write I guess I concentrate my efforts on Helium! I used to write for Associated Content but I quickly realised that they were not offering upfront payments if you lived outside of the US so I kind of gave up on them. I think with any kind of writing, if you have a skill in a particular area then people want to know about it and you can write about that. I guess the rule of the game is to keep on writing as the more you write the more you stand to earn potentially. Associated Content is a good site otherwise, I just wish that they offered upfront payments outside of the US. Andrew

You have to keep up with what's currently of interest to people. Topics that Associated Content paid for at one time may not get upfront payment any more because they're either old news or covered too many times already. They want fresh material, and payment also depends on how well the article is written. The best way to get an idea of what works and what doesn't is to read the forums regularly. General Discussions under AC Central is where you'll find the most useful information. You should also be aware that Associated Content may sometimes refuse to offer upfront payment for an article, but if you publish it as Display, it may make you a lot of money from page views. I have articles that get readers steadily, even though I didn't get any upfront for them.
