hi fellas, i just stumble upon a site called DOA and i was not expecting its meaning. it's denial of age and i was able to laugh out loud since one can count me in in terms of age denial. i don't actually get annoyed when people comment about my age, whether i look old or young for it. i just enjoy people predicting my wrong age and sometimes they get mistaken for me being in mid 30's and they say i still look 25. it's a compliment for me but i don't really mind. do you also have the same experience with mine?

I just turned 30 in August and people still think I'm in my early twenties. I'm not in denial of my age but it is hard to accept how old I am. In a way I am glad to be out of my twenties and farther away from the stupid mistakes I made in that decade of my life. It's just weird to say I'm 30. I guess I don't really like change and turning 30 is a big change. At least I don't look any older. That makes me feel a little better--that things haven't changed that much.

yeah right. there are times that we just can't believe that time had passed by and that fast too. age have been added but we feel as the same as ten years ago. just like what i feel right now. my likes and dislikes didn't change and i still wanna like to hear loud music and play online games at this height of time. for me age doesn't really matter. what matter to me most right now is my health and physique.

I pretend that I mind but, I actually don't really get troubled when some people, especially those that I have just met for the first time, to guess my age over my actual age. I would just reply, "So, I look that old, huh?" and then they would apologize and guess again. On the other hand, if they would guess a lesser age than the one that I really have, I would answer back, "Why thanks you, you are so kind.."
Never the less, I feel older than my actual age anyway. Most of those that I get to know and find out that are older than me would address me with some respect, as that to a brother since here in my country, we would often call someone Kuya (Older Brother if I am not mistaken) if we think they are older than us and when we really don't want to mention names, in case we really don't know their names to begin with (^_^")
I guess that's due to my height. Being more taller than most of them would make them think that I am indeed older but, most of the time, I am not really older than them at all..

well, yeah, but it's the opposite though. I'm usually mistaken for being older than I actually am! They back pedal by saying, 'O you're so mature, and you carry yourself so well and dignified...' Baloney...I know that's spanish for, MAN YOU UGLY!!!
You know what UGLY is don't cha? U, Got to Love Yourself!! LOL
