Just read an article about culinary herb Basil as having nutrients that will help lift the spirit. Is this true?

My honest opinion is that if it was good for people that suffer with depression, then the drs would be telling people to have basil, rather than giving out pills for people with depression.Basil would save alot of money to the health service.

In the same manner, doctors will give you medicine for your skin problems when, in fact, garlic can cure some skin problems.

I am not sure what are the nutrients of basil. But I always use basil in my cooking. They are delicious and smells good. Maybe it is true. Who knows.

Maybe that's why. As you said - it's delicious and smells good. Naturally if you smell and eat something good, you will feel relaxed and happy.

Different vegetables and seeds have different herbal values. Basil may also have some special medicinal value. Many people like basil, and it is also a favorite in many of the foods in some countries. Now that you mentioned about it, I will study the herbal value of basil. Thank you.
