Step 1: do not switch it on at all.
Step 2: dismantle it as much as possible, or as much as you feel comfortable doing.
Step 3: give it a good, thorough going over with your hair dryer after soaking up any excess.
Step 4: wait as long as possible, maybe eight to twelve hours, especially if it's humid where you are.
Step 5: reassemble & switch on as normal.
This will not work if unit is switched on soon after water damage occurred. If you have done this, you'll need to get it repaired.

Is it still possible to turn it on? If so, perhaps that will be better to let it dry before you turn it on again. Make sure you open the casing and examine everything. For further possibility I must know about more detailed problem, then we can work from there. But as for now if you want to handle yourself then just leave it open for a while.
