Hello Lotters, that's probably the point of some of my sad and can be disgusting, sad and frustrating discussions. i had to admit, there are times that i add emotions to my discussion, so that's probably some can really be weird. some though i am creating a draft on my discussion, which i never do. thing i said that you don't expect. Things that we do when we are depressed. I know it has something to do with emotions but also chemicals in the body that's causing this. Wow, how i WISH i wanted to be a Genetic Mapper or Modififyer. so that i could reverse the Process, instead chemicals causing depression, the chemicals would revert for me to be more confident and optimistic in life. Too bad am just a guy who needs to get over it all. I don't want help. but i hope i could do it based on your advice.well, i'll just take the advice from the last discussion. I haven't really been praying, I'd probably start one tonight.

hello Letran, Depression caused your body toxins to get into a higher level and much to that,it can damaged your heart or kidney. You need to stay calm and always take deep breaths to avoid depression. One more thing is,try to lists the things that makes you irritate easily and then try avoiding those things,or,try to work with those in order to overcome depression. Talk to yourself in front of the mirror, asks question and reply your own question. This might sound weird and crazy, but this will help you to know yourself again. Don't let depression eat you up my dear brother, life is too short to waste for nothing. Go out and face the world with smiles thu you feel you are down and broke. Pick yourself up,and make it whole again.

Hello Sis, wow, that's horrible, so depression can truly affect you're health. Not to mention damage some vital parts of you're body, and two of them are the heart and kidney. i guess breathing has also been one of my problems.i don't have that much complications but i think i have trouble breathing for some reason, or just forget about doing it. maybe i should give this theraphy a try, it's always nice to try something new. we never knew if it's going to work or not. but i love it. thanks

Get out of the house, go do something outside, visit an art gallery, listen to music, play some sports, do things that you like, talk to people you like. And if things are so bad that none of that helps, get professional help.

of course its depressing to be depressed and who in the world loves to be depressed? Maybe the emo ones but still I don't think anyone loves being depressed. i suggest you go out of your comfort zone and start exploring.

Hello onlyman, Well, if i do go out of my comfort zone, how can i face my depression if my that other zone leads me to more depression. but i agree with you that nobody wants to love depression but it's hard to believe that most of us are clinging to it all the time.

Being depressed is hard to deal with! Being Bi-Polar is even worse. There is help out there and you should get help. Not only your sake but for your friends and family, too. There are groups out their that are willing to help. Check the internet or your local paper. Most papers save space for groups to list their meeting places and times. If you are in the U.S., check out N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness). They have meetings for the people who are depressed and meetings support groups for family members, too. Get some help, you will be glad you did.

Hello flpoolbum, I think you weren't checking on my profile when you respond to this discussion. and the concept of Mental Illness is not even at my level yet. Lastly, I don't live in the US, moreso I am from out of that country. i can't get some, i think this site isn't the place to promote those things. have a nice day.

LK, at one point or another, we go through a phase that can sometimes be sad, frustrating and disappointing. but it's just a phase or should be small bouts or short periods of time. but when it becomes habitual or you regularly feel the phase and sometimes it consumes you... it is no longer healthy. talk to a friend. talk to a loved one. talk to someone who's close to you. or talk to a stranger who can be quite objective on things. little talks can be a big help. you need not seek advise. perhaps all you need is someone who can listen. and yes, pray. it's like talking to yourself, the inner you, your most intimate friend. it's like reflecting. you don't hear someone talking back to you. but letting it all out can be quite relieving and uplifting. perhaps i'm quite fortunate that whenever i feel depression looms ahead, i have someone to talk to. i have my sisters and my friends whom i can be myself with. when i'm around happy people, there won't be room for sadness. being always positive can be a good habit but not everyone has a knack for it. the idea is to think positively and you can attract positivity in life. be with positive people and positivity can rub off on us. hey, i'd love to talk. or chat. try it sometime. tc. HAGN!

I don't think that anyone out there would really enjoy the feeling of being depressed. We always try our best not to feel weak or hopeless. But there are just times when we can't do anything but to give in. It's good that we have mylot and other means to talk about it, or find ways to forget it. It's tougher when you're struggling alone. Just a few minutes ago, a good student of mine confided with me because he's just way overwhelmed with the final projects that he needed to finish. He's at the point of giving up and I think it's something serious for a young lad to give up on something that most of us would see as not-so-important to feel so emotional about. But remember that we all have our different needs and different ways to react on things. It may seem that his problem is minute, but to the person facing such an agony it's something real. I have my times of weakness, and I thin you've seen some of it here in mylot. It's not that I enjoy infecting people with my concerns or problems. But somehow, listening to my fingers as I type and talking about my worries just makes me feel that somehow someway someone out there is reading my thoughts and understanding my feelings. Thus, making me feel better soon. All I could say is that everything is a process. I too would sometimes wish there was a pill to just erase every depression or problem that I encounter. But regardless how much I wish for it, nothing happens. We will always have to face our problems no matter how hurtful it is. So there friend. Don't worry because you are not alone at feeling that way. Soon you'll find your answers and feel better. Just don't lose hope and yeah, pray.

I hate getting depressed, too! I never get so depressed I want to do anything drastic! I take a med for it and it does help. I used to get help from the professionals, too. Some of it helped but alot it ended up being a waste of time! My advice is only seek professional help if you really feel you need it and stay on meds if you take them! That is what I do!

i've been depressed for years and i've probably commented on one of your previous posts, but anyway, try not to think about it,the more you think about how and why the worse you will feel, mines a chemical imbalance so no matter how much i try to get rid of it,it aint gonna happen,i just take my pills and be happy,if praying makes you feel better then do it,but there is a reason why you are depressed, god gave it to you to test you,so he won't take it away until he feels you are ready, just get on with life and don't dwell on it,i have a very simple view on life which helps me,,there are a lot more people worse of than i am,so stop moaning,,it works for me maybe it'll work for you

Hello Doormouse, yeah, that's exactly what's happening to me now. but of course, i don't usually do this before. probably it happens to be that my situation is grim because i don't have a job and that's probably how it started here. i will do my best not to dwell on it anymore. although it's still hard but i am making efforts to make myself happy. thanks a lot.

hi, everybody passes that stage once in a while, it's natural. so know that you are not alone. but if you are depressed the whole time you have a problem and you have to see a professional to help you. it is best for you to be able to talk with someone that you trust. dont join sad people, go out with those jolly and fun to be with kind. do some hobby - art, handicraft, etc to make your brain and and get busy. i think exercising will also help. ann

I know what you mean I also hate being depressed it never is a good feeling because one always feels down all the time like me I feel like I will never be able to do anything right and I just am feeling more depressed because it's just well I don't know how to explain it, but I do know one thing it's scary because depression always makes us want to take our own lives and stuff like that and that just scares me.

Hello Anime, not only that it's scary but it's keeping us to do what ever is the next step because depression is hindering it. the motivation is lost temporarily and only comes back when you are given a reason to be motivated all over gain. am happy for what has turned out. i will continue to do my best.
