Is banana split easy to find where you live?

I love banana split and have been eating it since I was a child. But most restaurants and cafes where I live don't sell it for some reason. I guess it is not a very fashionable dessert or something, LOL. So I usually end up making it by myself at home. Is banana split still popular where you live?

I also love banana splits and the only place I ever got it was at Dairy Queen when I was a kid. Then when I moved out here, they had one, then it closed, then it open ed again and closed again, then just a few months open they open it again. Seems they get enough customers, but the owners don't want to keep running it, so if no one can buy, they close..:( I also have made them at home too, that way I can put on as much or as little ingredients I want..:)

Yes, I do suppose that is one advantage of making one yourself, I agree. I hadn't thought of it that way...

Thanks for the BR..Yes making them your own way is also a great family activity that doesn't cost much. Just gather the ingredients and let everyone make their own, sometimes it can get crazy some things people will put on their ice cream..lol

Yes, it is. Any medium-end restaurants and cafe/coffeeshop I've been to offes banana split. In fact, I always order it. Sometimes whenever me and my bf just goes to the coffeeshop for a chat, I always order the banana split.
