Small talk with Mylot "Admin Alex" :D

Hello Lotters,
I just thought i should give it a try again since i Ain't nothing to lose, I friends request the admin.surprisingly he added me, then came to asking if there's anything i need. although he really didn't see the discussion proper but i told him about the proposal regarding the pop up of discussion guidelines or faq upon logging in to mylot besides those ads.
Admin Alex is the one New users now receive a welcome email explaining the TOS and directing them to the discussion guidelines replaced alice but he is using alice account to help some lotters with their problems except payments.

well, i was suggesting in my sent complaint if you guys can create an AUTO alert update for the newbies with regards to rules,faq and tos. since you've sent us updates in the past and we are ALL notified. how about making another notification but "automated to newbies alone" so that they won't have to make these violation mistakes when ever they start here.
seriously, i for one can't report them all. just suggesting. but i know this ain't easy. thanks for listening admn.

, ok. well no, I'm not the original "Alice", she was a great asset and i do miss having her around. But, I am trying to fill her shoes, it will be no easy task. I do not have quite the same duties as she did. My main function is to moderate the forums and to be a help to users with nearly anything but payment issues.
Although I am accepting friendship requests on a temporary basis, to resolve specific issues for users, that is all I am able to do. Otherwise I would likely be up to my neck and would not be able to get much work done.

I often thought it would be nice if they also received a welcome screen when they log in for the first time though. I think maybe it's time to re-suggest this to my bosses. I have absolutely no idea. but ever since she wasn't that much active. i started to realize that she's not going to around much longer, until i saw her account, with the description that he is alex.
probbaly either she quit or went into a different department

I didn't know that you can add admin as a friend here. I haven't even bumped into one since I don't have any issues here on mylot. On the other hand though, I think admin alex was nice, since he did entertain you and stuff. Only proves that they are friendly and approachable.
I agree with you, but with the long list of FAQS and RULES plus the excitement of earning a free cash, I think you get my point... ^.^

I didn't think he was even interested in adding mylotters. but i guess he did say it was a temporary basis. although, he would only keep you if he answered you're questions i think. no, i don't get you're point, even if people are excited to earn money online, they should read the rules. or admin will teach them a lesson.@niairen01 (1018)

Yes, I agree with you. Reading the rules is the basic 101. But even if it is, why do we see new members here who are still violating it? This only proves my point... excitement took better of them.
Personally, I read all faqs and rules first before even registering. I'm afraid of things that might cost me in the end, that's why. Plus it save more time in the long run.

My lot seems to be stricter than they used to be, but it is still a good forum, and probably the best around for ease of use, and the amount of money you can make on it. Many of the others ones are kind of like flashes in the pan, here today gone tomorrow.

Well, thanks to those abusive trolls, now the admin had a reason to impose strict rules.. i had to admit now that mylotting takes most of you're time. as for me, when i used to have work it has deliberately consumed my energy that i didn't get a chance to mylot for 30 minutes when i got home because i was so tired.

hi letran I am glad you got to talk to Alex and he heard your suggestion. I think it would really help out all of us and
too us older ones would not have to spend time and lose earning
repeating all the infor the newbies should have read on first
coming here. if Alex could get his bosses to put up this welcome
screen and put all the pertinent data on there so new ones could
make money by having discussions that did not break the rules. this is my second attempt to respond here. lost the first one good discusions

this was suggested before, although i never found out why they rejected it (because i didn't asked
), it's a good start. of course, they should have asked us regarding this rule thing being imposed on the newbies.
I believe there's a huge chance that newbie violators will be lessened. to those who persist doing what they want then their topics or post gets deleted.

I am impressed by the conversation you were able to have and I like the idea of Admin Alex temporarily accepting friend’s requests so there can be one on one communication to resolve issues. I hope this works the way it is intended. I can certainly appreciate why he deleted you almost immediately; he cannot afford to have thousands of friends while trying to do his job. Thanks for posting this LetranKnight I hope we will see positive results in the future. I guess you can draw someone’s attention to the rules but you cannot make them read it or follow them!

It is good that admin rep. is approachable and can be brought into a dialogue with members here. I suppose you are one lucky person to have been given personal attention. Admin should accept all suggestions from the floor to further improve this site as the exodus of many members signals that something is not quite right with this site. Mylot should from time to time introduce new ideas to benefit members so there will not be high rate of members turnover.

Yes, she was gone a long time. Probably i should have asked why she left but probably she would never try to answer such. i think it was his job to add people and then after they answered they're questions he takes them off their friends list.well, that was my concern so am glad he's going to do somethign about it. @Hatley (163772)

hi letran when you suggested that before I really thought that was
a neat idea. I know I and other older users do get tired t rying to
stop the newbies from getting themselves deleted over and over. It
seems just suggesting they read the guidelines the rules of discussions
the questions and answers is not enough to motivate them. some even get angry and practically say mind your own !@@##$$$%%%^^&&*% business.
So I have mostly quit helping as I lost some earnings doing all that. That screen showing their needed information would be so great.Maybe
Alex will be able to persuade his bosses to heed your suggestion. heres hoping any way.

Hi Letran~ This is all very interesting. Sorry to hear about
Alice. She was really great! Will miss her. Haven't seen this
Alex person yet, but then again I'm not a newbie! I think it
is a great idea to help people who first come to the site. I
remember how confused I was when I first got here! But, I had
some really great "Lotters" come to my rescue and made some
great friends, way back then. I really think that the "Bosses"
here do listen because in the 3 years that I've been here I've
seen some changes that were suggested and actually used so
I know that they do pay attention to what the members say.

How are you? i haven't encounter you for a while. well, i got busy lately with new discussions.well, some of those changes were enforced, out of abuse of some lotters. like the rating thing.it's now completely limited to 15 per day and that's good. preventing more and more abuse from other users.@LetranKnight25 (33117)
