Well, as I've said before, I do home health and my client is Maggiepie.
Now, every thing is FINE with me and Maggie, great in fact!
Its the IDIOTS else where that are getting under my skin!
I told you guys about the kittens on Monday, well, we KNOW I have a problem with unfixed pets...
But TUESDAY!!!
Maggie lives off an access road for a highway. You pull out of her complex and its a one way street with a right turn only.
The traffic was bad enough anyway, but when I've just past the last street before her street, there is this IDIOT woman weaving around, driving the WRONG WAY on the access road!
I will grant that the city doesn't have a one way sign nor a "Do not enter" sign off that little road - something I will be contacting the city about let me tell you.
Still, where WAS this woman's BRAIN?
Since the traffic right along there was actually pretty light, I suspect she (and her car) survived the wrong way.
The last bit was leaving my mom's today someone was coming out the enter only driveway at her place - at least there it is a private driveway, and not as serious as a wrong way on an access road.
So, what sort of crazy or stupid thing have you see lately? Heck, if you did it tell me (so I can avoid you!)

There are times when I leave the house that I think someone is out to get me. I'm driving in my lane like I'm suppose to be, then along comes someone heading right for me...
We are on a main road that goes between cities and I have no clue what this person is doing other than playing chicken with me or something.
I lay in on my horn and have to stop to keep them from hitting me. Or I have to swerve off the road to stop them from hitting me.
Well yesterday I was going down the same road and some guy in a truck decides to come within an inch of side swiping my truck.
What is up with these fools that they think they need to whole darn road????
Numerous times I have had to deal with drivers that just have no clue where there are suppose to be at any given time on the road.
I've had a huge dump truck run a red light and cross over in front of me because he did not wish to stop, but he forced me to apply my brakes and come to a complete stop or hit him!
All I want is my lane and for others to stay in theirs while I'm on the road. I don't think that's too much to ask.

I agree!
I still remember that time in the late 1970's when I was in the right lane of Mopac (a highway in town) and a woman entered and pulled over where I was. I had room so I moved to the center lane. She then, again, without looking, moved into the center lane, forcing me into the left lane - happily again empty. AND THEN, without looking, started moving over again.
Well, I had no place left to go, so I leaned on my horn.
She looked at me with her mouth hanging open in surprise.
Well, DUH! if she had looked the FIRST time it wouldn't have BEEN a surprise!

@Moondancer, you must have an invisible sign on your car that says "Hit me" What color is it? Certain colors tend to attract like a magnet. I used to have a problem with that in Oklahoma City during morning rush hour.

Elic, that has happened to me before to.
GG that is the way I feel sometimes. I mean there have been days when 3 or 4 times or more something happened in one day. I'm thinking, I need to get home and off of the road today because someone is bound to hit me sooner or later. So I go home.
GG, I drive 2 vehicles, one is a whilte Kia Sportage. The other one is a black F-250 4x4 pickup truck. She is huge and I know they can see me in that.

I stayed home all day today so I had no opportunity to see stupid. When it is a person who is close to me, like in a relationship, I would prefer not to share the stupid. Oh, well, why not. I get the problem of people talking to each other while someone else should have center stage. I guess yesterday at the library, there was this group of young ladies. I think one is a manager and the other three were "clients" of some kind. Library is posted to turn off cell phones upon entry, but one young lady, talking loudly to her "companion/caretaker" then opens up her laptop, then starts making business phone calls to college, banker, and several other people. Talking loudly about her business, which was none of my business, but that is a part of why I know she is on kind of disability, and another had a companion/service animal, which was okay. The dog was not loud and rude, and I learned nothing about his Halloween costume, etc. which is what the third client was talking about. I never did figure out why they were in the library. There was nothing to do with books, magazines or newspapers the whole time. They could have gone to a coffee shop.

Man, that could have been a really bad accident for that lady, and someone else too. The city should put a sign up though, so they're at fault too. It reminds me of when so many people have to be killed in order for that street light to go up, if you know what I mean.
Today I was at the Post Office and just getting ready to pull out. It is one way IN and one way OUT. Sure enough, some idiot comes tearing into the out exit and goes in the wrong way lane to park. He was flying too so I'm glad I wasn't quite in his way, the dingbat. Just plain stupid ignorant people out there, I swear, who don't care!

The new BX at RAFB has a serious parking problem. That is not my gripe, as I believe that they are building additional parking as fast as they can. The old BX had to be demolished first. My gripe is about inconsiderate patrons. My husband and I had finished our shopping and wanted to leave. We followed the arrows around to the first row of vehicles and ran into a traffic jam. A man was just sitting there in his car with 4 cars lined up behind him trying to get out of the parking lot. My husband suggested that he must be waiting for his wife to finish her shopping. Finally, a vehicle pulled out, and he quickly pulled into the vacated parking spot. I don't know how long he had held up traffic just so that he could get that parking spot near the front. If someone has already started to pull out of a parking spot, I might sit and wait so that I can have that parking spot, but this was ridiculous. I would have moved on, even if I had to park in the last row, which is what we had done. We just wanted to get out of there and go home.

THESE are the people who cause accidents and kill or maim innocent drivers. My father taught me when I was a youngster to always watch out for "the other bloke doing something wrong" and doing that has made me more cautious. Moving out here got me away from that sort of bad driving for the most part. I encounter very little traffic these days and spend very little time in the more heavily trafficked areas. It's part of the joy of living where I do.

I haven't been out much in winter
but husband told me that me about the 'usual' crazy things drivers do
such as people entering drive through when the sign says exit LOL and exits where the sign says Enter
and then people who speed, in winter the road gets icy, so when they stop at red light, they stop a bit further and blocking pedestrian crossing

it would take me all day to explain the wealth of stupid we have around here.
and it doesn't help the city likes to change the directions of one way streets without prior notice.
i saw somebody yesterday not only going the wrong way,but backwards.

Sounds like they drive there like they do here. I never get out that i don't see someone driving irratically. I am surprised there are not more wrecks than there are the way people drive. There should be a sign there telling people it's a one way street. I hope u can get one put up before someone gets killed.

Stupid is walking for two kilometres to your destination because you are afraid somebody will dent your car if you park it at your journey’s end. That is what my parents who are both in their seventies did the other day. My father loves his car so much that he is irrationally paranoid about other people banging into and denting it. When they go shopping he will park across the road from the shopping centre so he doesn’t have to park next to any other car! They walked and walked under the hot sun and back again so that their precious vehicle would be dent free! Not dangerous to others but they could have had heat exhaustion or a heart attack...Stupid!
