we all know dogs and other animals are terrified by the load bangs fireworks generate so what is the best way to stop an animal being so scared and do the over the counter tablets that are supposed to calm a dog on bonfire night really have any effect at all or maybe and this is extreme we should ban them for the sake of the animals

You could try and find a place for in your house where the dog or other animal hears other everyday noises like abit of music or tv aswell as being around the animal so he/she is abit more reassured than would be without you. People i know with dogs tend to try and keep them downstairs and in a room that has general noise in it to stop the dog from hearing some of the firework bangs.
