Cold war is when two or more people do not talk to each other, do not even acknowledge each other because they hate each other..I think. Well, mom and dad are having it for the first time. And I am at a loss on what to do, I tried to talk to mom but she got angry at me instead. It's been really silent here.. I hope they'd just get over their emotions- whatever they are feeling and talk to each other. I once had a cold war with my friend and it took more than 3 months for us to make up...Please, any suggestions on how to fix this?

Nothing. That is my standard operating procedure. Anyhow the cold wars between my parents hardly last more than a few days. So it is not so bad. I usually continue to behave as if nothing has happened. In India every few days there is some festival or family activities that keeps going on that sooner rather than later one has to make up and continue with life. Cheers! Ram

That's nice, always having family activities...Well, they just made up the next day after the fight.. And acted like nothing had happened that day..

There is usually very little a child can do when parents are not speaking to each other. it is an issue they have to solve for themselves. You can show parents love and respect. you can only be there for them. You can offer your help to them. it is up to them to take it.
