People have to move to new places, change jobs, change schools and universities, and so on, for different reasons. Some move to new places for better career possibilities, for the future of the kids, and other reasons. Did you make a move recently ? Are you happy with the move you made ?

I would say one makes the move only out of necessity. I made the move some time ago to persue my career goals. Fortunately, it was the right move. I am now quite happy with the progress in my career. Good luck to you !

I made a move in August of this year. I used to live in a two bedroom terraced house overlooking the fields on the edge of a coastal town. Now I live in a three bedroom semi detached bungalow. It is so much easier for me because my three year old son is unable to walk. Now he has a bedroom on a ground floor and it our old house it had become too challenging to get him up and down the stairs. My three year old son still goes to the same playgroup for disabled children. He now goes to a pre-school as well. I have chosen which primary school I wish him to go to. He will hopefully be going there in September next year. It has taken us time to adjust to living here. When we moved in only two rooms had carpet in. At the moment we are getting a new kitchen fitted which is almost finished. The garden needs some loving care but it will soon be winter. I moved to this area in 2005. It was due to my brother-in-laws work moving down here. First my sister and her family moved down here. Then I moved with my children. Then my mom moved to this area. I miss my old area because it had lovely beaches, London close by and some wonderful villages. There were many castles there like Dover and Deal. I miss the historic city of Canterbury and the coastal towns near to it. I am happy to live in a coastal town now in the South West. I am fond of visiting Bath and Glastonbury which are both here in Somerset, England.

Hi Maxi. How are you ? Thank you very much for the response. That was a major move that you had made. And, all in all, it is very nice to hear that you are happy with the move, for yourself and your family. You must have given serious thoughts before you made the decision. And, indeed, excellent that you had made the right decision.

I have not moved recently although sometimes it seems it has not been that long ago. I like the area I moved to. I love the property we have. It helps that my daughter and her family have moved here as well. I do miss my eldest son and his family sine we are too far away for any of us to visit more than one or twice a year if we have money for the trip. My health has went down so much that I can not travel that far anymore. I do love living where I am though. Of course there are some things I'd change if I could, but that takes money I don't have.

It is very nice to hear that you moved to a place you are very happy living at. That is certainly important, to have a pleasant environment. Good for physical and mental health too.

I quit my job recently because I'm underpaid. So far, I haven't found a new job yet. But at least I feel better that I don't have anymore responsibilities in exchange for just a few dollars.

I have made a career move not quite recently... but its still feels new to me. =) Well I am happy with what i am doing, it just lacks the benefits i enjoyed in the previous companies i was with... so i guess that i am still open for other options. so far though i am not in a hurry but is quite happy. :D

I am just thankful to God. God says: it is you who makes the changes. I think the move I've made especially in career, is not that I wanted in the first place. But now what's done can not be undone.

Mmm... 3 months ago i was in a stable and fixed comfort zone until my mom asked me to do my brother a favor. The favor was pretty demanding that it made me lose my job. Although i was happy to help my brother, i couldnt help but regret that if i didnt go, i should still have the steady salary i used to receive.... I had a choice there and i made it. For me, family comes first. Oh but well, i stillhave that lingering regret but i need not to be stuck here... i have to move! God bless
