Say "I don't know".... :D

When someone asks you something and you don't like to answer do you say "I don't know"?.. It's what I've learned from the tv show "Chuck". I think it's better than lying, it's safer. but I've observed that lots of people do it, say it all the time, when they're busy to properly answer the question or just don't want to answer it. Is this a habit of yours too?

hello stanley, it's hard to avoid saying "i don't know" when you really don't know what is being asked of you. yeah, you are lying just to avoid to tell those lines. i think you have to havemore excuses and lots of knowledge to make up for the question you don't know but you intenede to put up things to cover for that certain question. i think you have to be good at it for you to make others believe that you really know that certain thing.

Well if you really don't know why would you bother. You mean if you know, and still you answer the negative. You must be convincing that you really don't know or your lie must be convincing for it t be accepted.thanks fr the time, LOL

Yeah, and my parents would say, "What do you mean you don't know?". Um, I mean what I said. Does it have another meaning?

yes, we did answer this most of the time especially if we really don't know.Sometimes we answer just for the sake of answering or if ever we now we don't want them to know, because we don't want to hurt their feelings if ever they know. thanks

hi stanley, this is a good workaround. but rather than, sticking too, that phrase, what we could is just be honest all the time and it saves us from any sin or bad consequences. :-) happy mylotting. :-)

yes, you could be right just be frank whatever the consequences it will bring. But there are instances where its better not to say it if you know what I mean.So for you its better to be true and face whatever it is.thanks

I say "I'm not sure". It has the same sense though. I don't want to lie either. I think that's safer than telling a lie. At least I'm being honest. But it's a habit of mine.
