Books that are enhanced with a second read through.

I think that when we read through the first time and don't know the entire story, we tend to miss things. However, should we re-read a book once again, after reading it the first time, there are things that pop up and smack us right in the face and we go, "man, how have we not noticed that before, this makes a lot of sense." Do you find that sometimes books read better the second time through because of this?

Yes, there tend to be a lot of, "how did I miss that?" in mystery books. Very true, very true indeed. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Not really. People tell me they notice all sorts of new things when they read a book for the second time, but I've never felt that way. Mostly on my 2nd read-through I just remind myself of all the details. I usually enjoy it a little less or about as much as the first time that I read it. I still like to re-read books, but usually more to keep all the details fresh in my memory.

I think it is really different for every person. Of course it could also be the matter of stumbling across the right book. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
