Are some times of the day better than others for posting Discussions?

Do you find that there are times of the day when posting a discussion gets no responses and others when people immediately answer?

It is always morning somewhere in the world.... lol I find that in the evening (UK) the mylot site slows down possibly because there are a lot of people on line. however in the morning it is very quick. you could alway try targeting your discussions to a particular group of people dependant upon time zone. Increasing the number of friends you have is also said to increase the number of responses you get. I alway check each day what my friends have started and respond if it has interested me. Happy posting...

LOL ... It's always morning and evening somewhere! I prefer not to target my discussions to any particular timezone, I think, because this is a true global community! There are a lot of people here from India, I think (5 1/2hrs ahead of GMT) and many from the States (between 5 and 8 hours behind GMT). I seem to get more responses after 11pm GMT, which is about 6pm in the States.

It seems as if too late at night or too early in the morning is a bad time to post. Unless you make some really good friends here like a few I have made. Then you check their discussions regualrly and post to them often. :)

For awhile I was not getting too much response after 7 or 8 p.m. But I am noticing now that it has evened out somewhat. I think it is a combination of the subject discussed and if you can keep it on the front page. But sometimes it can be a great subject and it gets passed over by too many people looking for discussions they can give one word responses to. Maybe with the new guidelines, anytime of day will be good.

I do find this but I haven't found out a pattern yet! Sometimes the most odd or random question gets hundreds of replies and other days something straight forward gets an unintelligible answer from someone who doesn't speak English!

I think most people here are night owls. If I start a question in the middle of the day, it's unlikely to get any responses. However, if I post the question at night, someone will see it and want to respond and that will keep it going for awhile. Around 10pm to midnight in the US seems like a good time to post.
