Am I a Moron?

Okay, don't answer that question please! Lol! I am trying to add banners to my profile. I click to edit my profile, then add sortie. Then I select html when that box comes up. then I copy and paste from other sites to the box on my profile. AFter that I click "save" in the upper right hand corner of the sortie box... and then nothing. There is no banner being displayed. Any help from the real computer people here?

Many people have trouble with this. Some people find Internet Explorer easier to use for this than Firefox (but I use Firefox OK ... it just doesn't always show the Edit/Save buttons at the top until you hover the mouse where they should be).
I have copied all of my HTML sortie to Notepad so that I can edit it there (I do understand simple HTML to an extent, so I can put in breaks and rules and add formatting) and paste it back as a whole. I have sometimes found that it doesn't update (even when following Lamb's steps). It usually will later in the day.

I use firefox rather than Internet Explorer. I got it up and going I figured I was missing some little step in there somewhere... I was! Thanks so much!

i have suffered in the same case ,yeah.the key to make it is that you should hit the keyboard"enter"after you add html to the html board ,generally it works well if you make it like this ,if it still fails ,you may try it for a second time .

Don't feel bad. I've have tried many many times to put a photo on my profile instead of the little he/she picture in green. No matter how many times I try, I cannot get it to happen. I don't understand, because I don't have that problem on any other site. I know it's me and it's something extremely simple that I'm doing or that I'm not doing. Nevertheless, I still have the little green he/she picture up there. That's me for now, I guess!
