..and I hope I'm up by the time it finishes because I'm due to pick up two football tickets (again) from Brunton Park, which is a fair walk away! I plan to go in the afternoon!
At least my new boots from M&S have been brilliant so far. In fact, last week I got rained on big time (when I went to the docs for nothing) and I was worried these suede boots would look a mess, due to the fact they're only £25.
I needn't have worried as they dried out perfectly but..boots aside, I still don't want to go out in stormy weather, soft cow that I am lol.
Mind you, Mum has to ride her BIKE to work in the morning and I don't envy her as I've ridden my bike in the wind and rain and it's not a very nice experience.
Oh, well, I suppose the "fresh" air will do me good!

Well being from the Seattle area I can relate with being somewhere all the time that sees and experiences a lot of rain and can admit that it is no Fun. Personally even when you are the Best prepared these can whip upon you and get you wet, tear up your umbrellas etc. I enjoy our Springs and Falls but not the wet weather that many times comes with it.

We had a load of rain a couple of hours ago. We did need it though as March has been a very dry month. When it rains here in Cumbria IT RAINS but I don't mind it, so long as I don't have to go out in it!

I hope that the storm does not approach you at all. I hope that you will be able to go the football game in the afternoon.
We had some thunderstorms this weekend. It was the first that I have seen it since a couple of months back. It did rain this weekend as well. I dislike when the seasons change and leave me with a cold.

Thanks for keeping this discussion alive, it's much appreciated.
I can't even remember if we did go to the footy that day..I think we managed it. Very cold though.
Thank goodness spring is here and the daffodils are out, brightening my mood.

The fall nearing winter always brings us nasty weather. We just never know what one day to the next will bring.
Be careful out there as you do not want to be blown away.

I feel a bit embarrassed to say this now but when I went out early on this afternoon the weather was OK.
Yes, it was damp (the storm must've happened this morning when I was still in bed) but it wasn't windy at all. In fact, I had rather a pleasant walk and was glad for the fresh air. I made sure I was wrapped up as it WAS colder than last week but..storm?
Erm..nope!!
