Yesterday was 11th November. Do you know that on that day ( 11 th November) in 1918, the 'armistice' between the Allies and Germany was signed in a railway carriage, thus ending First World War ? Do you know where the armistice was signed ? Do you also what is the differene between an armistice and a peace treaty ?

hi DpctprDidi when I was a kid armistice day meant we went to the cemetery to put flowers on the graves of all veterans and also on'
the graves of our own family too.No I am not at all sure what the 'difference is if any. I know that a peace treaty is done differently than an armistice. I am just glad that WWI and WW2 are over and donew with and am hoping to God that we will not be stupid enou gh to start another one.

Was it the time of hitler? I dunno what the difference of the two has. I'm guessing they're basically the same. I'm not sure exactly. Maybe one is milder than the other or more loose when it comes to agreement than the other. I'm just not sure which.
