Asda have a spend £40 and get £40 in vouchers offer at present. I presume that the vouchers are for specific items rather than just freebies: but if these are things that you will be buying anyway it might be worth a look.

I got Asdas first £40 book and that was great as that had alot of money off things in it like £5 off washing powder.I have not got the second one that they have got out yet,as i done bulk shopping the last time we got the vouchers.I think that Asda would be better off if they done 10% off your shopping.

It would certainly be a better offer, but I guess that the book concentrates on products that they can afford to lose a margin on.

I like some of the promotions that we have here in the U.S. USB Flash Drives 8GBs for $20, which is pretty good. There are other greater sales than that as well.

Christmas is coming, and there are alot of promotions going on in shops now. IT's either vouchers, or discounts or even clearance sale! Christmas is the time to spent for customers like us, while it's a sure profit period of time for businesses. WHile i have not gotten ready any christmas gifts, that's because i'm still waiting for the prices to go even lower before i pounce on them.

I am hearing lots of these deals, but if I do not need the stuff to begin with, then I do not take advantage of them. I think it is cool that with your large family you are able to stretch your money so well. I hope you are having fun doing so.

Hi jugs, the situation is more or less the same here. By the end of the year, hypermarkets and outlets always offer customers with attractive vouchers after consuming certain amount of expenses. The more we consume the bigger amount of vouchers we would get. To welcome christmas and new year, many new arrivals of ready made clothes, fashion shoes, handbags, watches, etc were displayed to attract customers. Therefore many wonderful old stocks which are worth to buy are on sale. Other than to accumulate voucers I like to pick practical stuffs with reasonable price. I'm happy as well to get gifts with the vochers accumulated Have a nice day

They sure have a lot of gimmicks to get us to come back in at this time of year.At our local grocery store they are giving out stickers you open for a percentage off on your next visit. That is a nice one and I think every little bit helps. I am not doing alot of shopping for gifts this year. We put some things on layaway. That is a great help with only a $5 set up fee.

I’ve only got one voucher for a measly five dollars so far! I have taken advantage of some great sales though; that is why I started Christmas shopping earlier than usual. I have saved quite a lot because some of the items were reduced by at least ten dollars. I would love to have the time to add it all to see how much my savings actually are! It’s a good feeling to spend and a better one to save!

I'm going to have to run in to some deals. Great deals. I don't even know how I'm going to get my mom's gift this year. I will. But right now I don't know how.

Hi! its good that there are promos like that in your place. I wish we have that also in our place. That would help us shoppers especially this time of the year. Anyway, i have to really find for gifts that are fit to my budget. Its hard you know, looking for quality gifts at a lower price.

Congratulation! You are going to have a really merry Christmas. I love shopping on discounts, too. Somehow, many of the promotion are fake, they raised up the price first and give us some discounts. In the end, it is not 50% discount as promoted, but only around 15% discounts. AH.

Here in the US a lot of stores are doing that also. It use to be black friday shopping but now I heard it is called the Christmas Creep for the month of November. I just try to save all the gift cards I accumulate (surveys, focus groups, etc) and use them to do our Christmas shopping. I know what I need to get (the girls' two big gifts) and then I can breathe a sigh of relief.
