I am curious as to how many of my fellow mylotters are curious and want to be informed and how many are afraid, don't have time, and don't want to be informed--? Check this site out and see what you think. Your thoughts. www.operationdefuse.com

Very interestng site. I don't doubt for one minute that the government is doing this. This needs further research, need to make an assessment, decide what to do.

That is a very informative site and has a lot of potential for educating citizens. I think that any law enforcement group has the potential to become "too much" if given the power and dwelling in non criminal records is an invasion of privacy no matter what the excuse. If I am abiding by the law..I don't think anyone should just be able to research me to the point of my medical records. I think that this group is good for people and has the potential to "put the heat" on this fused law enforcement.

...and I can see it from both sides to a degree too. But when power meets bravado then what? I agree with what you said about research so indepth BUT if certain things pop up then they should be able to check us out. Only then. And then it gets hazy. It is like I was told by my grandmothers many years ago- don't write anything down you wouldn't want read by whoever and that you want to be careful of who you hang out with. I think that carries over here too. If they see that you are hanging out with certain people they may feel a need to research you. Know what I mean? And I can see their point as well as our discust with them being able to do so.

Thanks for the best response! Your right about having to be careful about the company we keep and although the lesson that I learned was never tell anything you don't want to be told, it kind of falls under the same context I think.

I like to be informed but I don't want to come across as nosey. I watched a little bit of the video and I think some of these things might be all right to want to be informed about. I feel like a lot of the information should be kept private, though.

Nosey? I think we have a right to know. If you mean the divulgance of health care info and so forth then I would say I think it is best we know this so we can combat it if needed.

I've seen this site before. Interesting. It has some information i can't quite get. Still, makes you think that the government isn't a wholesome place and it's true. It'll open your eyes to the truth.
