Apple seems to be having a lot of problems turning out their iPhone4 to another color from the usual classic black.
The iPhone 4, which was released in June, but the white model was delayed first to July, then to the end of the year and now to early next year. According from the latest announcement by Apple (last month) the delay will be till next Spring and if I may add unconfirmed.
I do not know what is causing the delay but explanations ranging from color-matching problems to an issue with the device's backlight have been the current known causes. But, that is not stopping an enterprising Chinese teenager from using his contacts in China, order the legitimate white iPhone parts directly from the factory and then re-sold them as conversion kits for desperate Apple fans who could not wait to upgrade their phones on his website (URL below).
So far, he's believed to have made an astronomical sum of not less than U$130,000 and still growing. His resourcefulness has indeed paid off and not knowing if the legal letter will stop his sales. I do not think the potential customers could be stopped if the supply is still available.
If you want a face-lift for your iPhone4, then I think you will be happy to order this legitimate conversion kit from the site below.
At the end of the day, I am wondering if Apple is doing the right thing to send a legal letter to stop the sale of the conversion kit. What do you think?
