Just Thought I'd Let You Know

Hi Hatley, I hope you get the right help from these yoyo doctors. My Primary just shuffled me off to get an Internist without telling me why and without helping me. It was all handled through her refferal girl up front. Anyway, I'm trying to respond for Cats because she is too sick to answer anyone. I hope this Augmentin kicks in soon. She is really sick so she could use a prayer or two.We'll keep you posted. Leenie

Hi Hatley and Leenie! hope by now Hatley, you've seen the wound specialist. I'm really concerned for you and I have to say that I agree with your doctor, why couldn't the dermatologist send the referral? Is it another case of, "oh this one is old, she's going to die soon anyways so why worry about her?" kind of crap? Oh that just gets on my last nerve like you won't believe!! It's been done to my grandparents and now my parents and now that I know a bit more about the medical field, I have a few choice words for them. I won't put up with that no way no how. Anyway, yeah, I did get a severe case of something whether it's the flu bug or what, I got something and it brought me down like nobody's business! Man! I haven't been that sick in a long long time! I'm talking years! I've had a cold or an ailment of one thing or another but nothing like this in YEARS! I'm still under the weather but a whole lot better than I was. Like right now I'm sweating A LOT because I still have a fever but I'm not as lethargic like I was and even though my throat still hurts, it's not nearly as bad and I don't have a headache..... shhhh! Um.... knock on wood!! lol My mouth still hurts but that's the way lupus works with me. When I get sick like this or even the slightest cold, lupus finds the weakest spot on my body which usually is my hips but this time it's my jaw and the front of my mouth and settles there and makes the pain ALL THE GREATER! I've had to take two percocets to be able to stand the pain and ride it out. Right now it's throbbing but nothing like it was so I know I'm on the mend but wish it would hurry the hell up!! lol Anyway, thanks for the prayers and thoughts! I feel so loved!

Thanks Leenie! Trust me GG, my doctor will hear about this when I get better. Right now I'm so sick that I can't sit up for long but when I get my bearing back, my doctor will know about this and then I'm changing doctors because I can't have a doctor not be on the same page as I am. Besides, he's an azzhole of the worst kind. An arrogant smart mouth know it all GOD. Or so he thinks.

Hi Gerty, Please read the response I wrote to Oreo about how sick Cats is. All I know is she has some heavy duty infection and I'm concerned. Hugs Leenie

I sure hope u are feeling better. When it rains it pours, it seems. There is just so much sickness w/everybody it's sad. wE JUST HAVE TO KEEP ON TRUCKIN' no matter how bad we feel. I hope u have a good day today. HAPPY THANKSGING. HUGS.

I was pleasantly surprised how well it went! Hubby even behaved himself and kept his mouth shut. lol

Hopefully you are feeling better now...I am so behind on my discussions, I figured 3 days later you should be feeling better, or at least not have the flu anymore. Our Thanksgiving turned out easy as well. I did all the cooking, and I was very tired afterwards, but the food all got on the table hot...which is surprising for me! LOL The hubby and the boys behaved well at the table, which was the second shock (first shock being the food). Usually Mark and the boys start acting crazy, but on T-Day they were well behaved (SHOCK!) Yesterday was a blah day...I think I had a Thanksgiving hangover....too much turkey! Hopefully today I will get caught up on Mylot...I am 3 days behind and it is driving me crazy. Hope you have a great day. Gerri

Trust me frontvisions, if drinking some Gatorade would get me well I'd have drank a dozen by now but with what I have and the pain I'm in, it's going to take a strong antibiotic, pain killers and some time to get me well. I'm giving it all of that and then some because what I have isn't just a common cold.

Thank you dear one! I am getting better although it's a very slow process. I was one sick sick puppy, that's for sure! Whew! The sickest I've been an quite a number of years and hopefully never again or a number of years before it happens again. Take care of yourself too please!

Hi zandi and thank you. I'm getting better.... ever so slowly. This is the worst I've been in years! I never wanted to go there again and yet, here I am but it shall too come to pass. Just wish it would go by faster!

Thanks so much for letting everybody know about my (lack of a better word) situation. It's taken me this long to get to your response because I'm so damned sick. When I think I'm getting better, the fever hits me again like a ton of bricks then my mouth starts to throb again. I've tried my damndest to rest but hubby forgets to do the IMPORTANT things such as the morning or evening chores which are a MUST because it's to do with our furry gang's need or he gets overwhelmed with the small things and makes a mess and leaves it KNOWING FULL WELL that it drives me crazy after a while so I end up doing what needs doing myself. Then when/if he sees things were done or picked up, he gets on my case for doing it. Now he knows if he doesn't do what needs doing, I will. Simple as that. I'm not living like a pig. When I get enough energy to do what needs to be done, I'll do it. Then when he asks what I want to eat, I'll tell him and how I want it, for an example: I told him I wanted eggs over easy and he brings me scrambled eggs. Tonight I said I wanted a mince meat turkey sandwich with mayonnaise then cut up in little pieces. He brings me just plain Turkey on a plate. No bread no mayonnaise. To hell without it! I don't want it. I'm not hungry anyways. I just want to eat because I know I need to plus need to coat my stomach so I can take my medicine without getting sick. I'm so f'ing sick and don't need this torment!!!! ARG!!!!!!! He's mad at me now but guess what! He'll get over it!!!!
