There is a lot of planning that goes into affect when cooking thanksgiving dinner for a group of people. This year we don't have as many family members coming over and its only going to be 18 this year and not the 35 we had last year. Its helps alot buy not having so many people but having 18 is still a bit much of course.
We have done most of the grocery shopping and of course we forgot some stuff so i will be going on a run tonight to get some stuff of course.
We had the card tables and other tables on the back porch ready to be set out and of course have everthing in line to cook and getting everything planned out for the big Thursday Dinner Feast.
Enjoy your thanksgiving dinner.

Yeah I totally agree that lot of efforts get in for the Thanks giving donner. The menu to be decided and then the grocery and other arrangements. It needs a perfect planning to be done for the Feast. All the best for the dinner party

We used to all get together at my parent's house for the holidays. Then all of my brothers and sisters (mostly my brother) started having too many kids!
(they have 7) Then my parents starting getting older too...Now I will go to one sister's house on T-giving night - if I can get a sitter for my son.. and my other sister's house on friday (that's our "family" one!) I'll take my son to that one even though we cannot stay long because it's in the evening..

Wow! 18 is certainly a lot of people to prepare for and host! I'll give you that. I couldn't even begin to imagine how long it takes to prepare. You must have a big family! On my mom's side, who I celebrate with, we usually have about 5 people (lol) - it's very tight-knit. This year might be closer to 8 or 9 in total I think. And THAT to me is a lot of work! LOL

I am lucky that i only have to bring a dish. This year it is pudding pies, and ice for the drinks. I hope that my child cooperates better than she did last year. Last year she threw a tempertantrum and her food all ended on the floor. it was held at another persons house.
