It is a revelation indeed. It is not that the voter has changed but the suffering at the hands of Lalu has made the Bihar voter show resistance to his return. More illuminating is the fact that Muslim voters also supported Nitish despite his association with BJP. This is a good indication and every indian voter must look for overall development shunning the caste and religious background. Then only the country can surge ahead.

Yes I forgot the very important point, that for once the Muslim voter has started thinking himself as an Indian rather than a Muslim.Once we are all united, we will be one of the most powerful nation in the earth. Has a new beginning started in Bihar ? Only time will tell.

I think that these elections have been a vote for growth and development, even though there is still a lot that needs to be done. Hopefully, things would move in the right direction.

However, the results could have been different if the Congress and RJD, headed by Lalu Prasad Yadav had contested the elections unitedly.

The Bihar election results are definitely a pleasant surprise to everybody looking for some change and maturity in the mindset of the Indian voters. I was already reading of reports on how the NK govt has reined in lawlessness, making the citizens and investors feel safe, after a long long time. How this attitude of the Govt was being welcomed wholeheartedly by the people, rising above the viscous cycle of caste divide, religion, corruption and muscle-power, that has been the bane of Indian democracy all throughout. What was all the more encouraging was that in a backward state like Bihar, people were actually supporting NK for giving cycles to girls to go to school! A definite social change for the better. I really feel that the Biharis have seen a new light and hope for their state as a whole and have embraced the chance in full faith… I really want NK to continue doing the good work so that not only Bihar but the entire nation takes note of his model and throw out the corrupt stooges ruling this nation and wholesome politics makes a comeback. The Bihar elections have shown that given a choice, the people are ready to throw out empty slogans and divisive game plays and welcome all inclusive change for the better.

You know sudipta, Biharis are quite a intelligent lot. Just see the number of I.A.S. officers from Bihar. All these days they were voting, on caste and religious basis, but today it is a very pleasant change, when even the Muslims have voted for the BJP.This is a great change where the people have revolted against Lallu Prasad, and Ram Vilas Paswan. It is a lesson to the entire Indian nation, and I hope rest of India would continue in the same way.
