Yeah they are different. HC in means high capacity which supports bis memory cards. If your gadget support SDHC, SD is also compatible in your device but if it is only support SD, SDHC is not fit. Misco SD cards support equal or less than of 2Gb memory size while Micro SDHC card suppot equal or higher than 2Gb and up to 32Gb of memory size. hope it help

That's not true friend. Sorry that i have to say it, but i've worked in a store for mobile phones, accessories, and services, and i can say that there are different kind of Micro SD cars if we talk about their capacity. There are 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, even 16GB.
And now i'd love to respond to the owner of the discussion. There are different kinds of memory cards for mobile phones. This is not the capacity of the memory stick, but how big is the memory stick. Just some phones work with one type of memory cards, and other phones work with different type of memory cards.
As example i can give HD Diamond 2, which works with Micro SD, the first Diamond got his own memory, it's about 4GB, but the second version of Diamond works with little micro card, because the memory slot is made for that type of memory cards.
I can suggest you friend, to go to some store, there sellers to check what type of memory card fit in your memory slot and you just to buy that card.
The difference between this two memory cards is the type and the size, that's all. Some phones got little slot for memory stick and there is a special kind of memory cards for them, micro SD is one of the smallest memory sticks.
