What maintenance do you need to do on a hookah?

i recently got a hookah and i was wondering how often do you clean it and how and with what? we only use water (some people put milk in the water.. we dont) so do we have to switch the water out every time? obviously the shisha bowl thing gets cleaned every time but didnt know about the hose etc..
anyone know?

I have never heard of anyone cleaning a hookah with anything except
water! Like I said, don't know what you're putting in it, but can
be sure it wouldn't be good with a milky taste!

Water is usually fine. Clean-dry it afterwards.

ok cool.. do i clean it between every smoke or just when it seems to need it?
