Sreesant who bowled superbly in the last 2 matches and played a key role in the Indian victory is given rest after just 2 ODI. He was not playing much cricket. Just played last Tesa series and the two ODI. He was at his best,he was in such a good form. He was the fats bowler who bowled well in the last two ODI's. On this situation is it a needed rest for him? I think its a poor decision from the selectors. What do you think.

Surely Its an unnecessary rest for Sreesanth. I think he is bowling in good form and we should have given him more chance to pick more wicket and gain confidence. and he have not played a long season, he just returned to international cricket in last test series, then why should we rest him?? and Zaheer the experienced bowler is included, why to play him and take more risk, as he is our trump card.

I don't think it is wrong step by selector as they replaced by the much good bowler Zaheer Khan. Might he is given the rest because BCCI don't want to take risk before the touring of SA Important one and sreesanth is in good form if he face the injury so i think we would lost a good player for upcoming as Zaheer has came back from injury and given the chance to improve his bowling skill and will make his bowling more sharp before the crucial tour of South Africa..

I cant understand your logic. Zaheer should have given rest in concern with injuries. He had just overcome one injury and using him more will make him more weak. And Sreesant has been excellant in recent,he had not played much cricket. This move should have disappointed Sreesanth. I accept that Zaheer is better than Sreesanth. But Sree was doing the job super. If the selectors wants Zaheer to give chance they can replace Zaheer by removing Nehra or Patel(who are not bowling well as Sree).

My logic is simple and clear..BCCI is want to see the performance of player and will make selection based on this before going to the SA that BCCI think is very crucial tour and want to send the best of best team so that they perform good in South Africa.. That's why they gave the rest to sree after seen performance of his and want to see how zaheer bowls after came back from injury In more simple word..BCCI is rotating the player on which they will make the selection.. Hope this logic will understandable to you..?

actually i am not sure whether its a good one or bad one because both are right. it is bad because he just got back his rhythm and we need him toperform at his best against proteas. it is kinda good because he will be leaving with the other seniors to south africa and want to have more practice in those condition. remember he is the one who dismantled the proteas the last time.

I don't think there were any need for resting Sreesanth. He already has taken many rests and never contributed non stop for team India. Certainly he should be given chance to play for the 3rd ODI. There was need of him in the match, though India manage to win without him
