that the bottled water alot of us buy and drink is not regulated in any way, shape or form? Not by FDA or anyone else! These bottling companies could be putting anything in this water and we would never know. I have never been one to buy bottled water. Rarely, unless I am out somewhere and have forgotten my waterbottle do I buy bottled water. I think it is just down right STUPID. Buying water is, to me, like buying air. Did you know that the Pierrer water is actually owned by Nestles? Did you know this? What are your thoughts?

I am like you, I only buy water if I forget mine. Water is very important to me....I would rather drink water than pop, ice tea etc...if I am thirsty...water, and only water, is going to quench me. I have wondered before what kind of regulations are out there for water....I guess I have wondered if the water was actually from a 'sparkling spring' or just some bog in no-where's-ville. Let;s just hope we don't get sick over contaminated water.

Have you thought about filtering your water? That's what I do. I am not too worried now but as things are going you just never know.

We live in the country, so we have a well that our water comes from. We do, however, have a filter connected to our kitchen drinking water..because you don't even know how safe well water is now with all the run-off.

I knew most of that. Do you realize we pay a lot more per gallon for water than we do for gasoline? I will buy bottled water if I do not have any other way to get a drink or if I really doubt the cleanliness along the road at water fountains or rest stops. What I really like to do is to take a refillable water bottle with me on a trip and then buy a gallon of drinking water, nursery water, distilled water, or whatever the store calls it and refill my bottle several times at less than a dollar for that gallon. My daughter thinks bottled water tastes nasty.

I like filtered water myself. I but gatorade before I buy any bottled water. I get the lemon-lime and like it just fine. I hope you watch Conspiracy THeory. Last night it was about the water being stolen right here in the US. Minnesota's thousand lakes. China comes here with plastic bubbles and steals it and just takes it home. Amazing.

I only have a digital converter and I do not get Conspiracy Theory. I had someone on here try to tell me about something in Gatorade we should not drink, but I do, from time to time. I have just always been a big water drinker. Gatorade sometimes will relieve a headache or upset stomach.

I do know there is nothing special about bottled water. It is from a regular tape, even the ones they claim to be spring water. Why should I pay for water in their bottles when I can get it from my tap at home with my filters in place and knowing that I am drinking cleaner water if it comes from my own home? I just think it's crazy to put the large print on this land from buying so many bottled waters and the plastic never goes away. It's here forever. If people would reuse bottles over and over again then we would have way less plastic cluttering the lands.

I never buy bottled. I filter my water when I can and drink tap water otherwise.

Hi celtic! I have felt that this was true all along! I have always refused to buy bottled water no matter what! Quite frankly, I am a diet pepsi or diet coke addict to begin with and if I want or have to buy a bottle of something when I am out at the ridiculous prices they charge for the smaller bottles of soda I buy them rather then ever buying a bottle of rip off water! I never buy bottled water, if only to get the big jugs to save tap water in case of emergencies! There is nothing wrong with the tap water from my City. I've been drinking it all my life and I've never gotten sick, it tastes pretty good compared to other cities I've been in and it's free~

I did read about that celticeagle. It is amazing to me that water is the thing that is packaged and sold that the FDA has nothing to do with saying is safe or not. Rocky Mountain Spring water right out of the tap...crazy. I agree that we should not have to pay for water..it is like air. I guess that if there was a way to bottle and sell us air..someone might try that too though..lol.

yes, i never did really understand buying bottled water. i was thinking why not just get a water purifier added to the faucet or refrigerator if one wants cleaner water? after all one would save money in the long run instead of being ripped off by going out and buying bottled water. i could understand of course buying or using bottled water when there is a natural disaster that contaminates the water.

I did not know this, but I actually assumed a lot of companies did this. The only reason I buy bottled water is because it's easier to grab it and go and not to mention it's a lot colder than it coming out of the faucet. Yeah, you can use ice, but like I said it's more so convenience for me.

I would rather drink it luke warm than continually get the toxins from the plastic and who knows what from the water.
