Barbara Walters and Oprah are having an interview and someone stated that Oprah was crying alot. Then they were asking why was Oprah crying? Was she sad? Well I saw what they did and yes Oprah was crying, but I think she was just showing emotion
over the relationships she has had on her TV Show. She may have been a little sad, but more than that she knows that part of her life is over and treasures this wonderful part of her past. We are not always sad when we cry.

Tears come to me not only when I’m sad but whenever I am joyous and overwhelmed with emotion; it can be a mixture of feelings sometimes. Oprah may have felt consumed by sadness because the end of her talk show is looming, pride for all she has accomplished and joy because so many love her. I think crying is good and we all need a good weep every now and again!

There have been a lot of times in my life that I have cried even though I am not sad. You see, sadness is an emotion and crying is but a reaction to an emotion. Well, happiness and joy are also emotions and though it may not be a typical reaction to cry as a result of those two emotions, I do think that you can cry as a result of either of those. In addition to that, I would imagine that there is a part of her that is sad about the fact that a chapter in her life is coming to an end.

There are commercials I cry at just because they touch me. No, we don't always cry just because we are sad. I sometimes cry when I am extremely happy for someone accomplishing something that was very difficult for them. Sometimes I cry when I watch my children playing because they are such a joy to watch.
