Senate had a busy day...but I can't say much got done. The dems revolted on the tax deal Obama made. So we are back to square one on that one. The dream act got tabled. It did not have enough votes.Reid said he will bring it back before the end of year...don't see it happening. Which is a good thing. But still no real progress made on solving our leaking borders or solving our illegal problem. DADT fell short on votes for an open debate. So that one is not resolved one way or another either.
Sooooo lets see....busy day...nothing accomplished. Normal day for the Senate.
What do you think?

What do you expect from the ruling class. They are a special class and the rules do not apply to them. They make their own rules and decide their own pay. The only way to deal with them is to vote them out every few years. If they don't do what you think they should then vote them out next time they are up for reelection.

The republicans took a big hit in the presidential election. The dems just took a big hit. What does it take for them to get to clue? DO YOUR JOBS.

Well, since I wasn't happy with the compromise (but for different reasons)...good. Since I was opposed to the Dream Act...good. Solving our leaking borders...bad. DADT...since I'm still not sure where our military leadership stands...ok to let it sit. I give them mixed reviews for the days work. Does that mean we have to pay them?

Unforunately yes we still have to pay them. They have one of the few jobs that is ok for some reason to NOT do your job and still get paid.

I have mixed feelings here. Them not doing anything is probably best for our country. Us paying them to do nothing is just stupid. Shame on us!

I heard this morning employers have begun to figure how much more they will have to take out of their employees payroll come the first of the year.I suppose who this will do the most harm to will be the hard working middle class and the small business owners.Far as the dream act I heard this week California is above twenty billion in the red and asking for yet another government bail out.Appears California tax payers can't pay for illegals college education for two years.Seems like this government is only good at collecting their hefty steady pay checks month after month.
