I see all the tree lights as well as hear them playing music, then i hear all the figures that you can get as well.My friend had loads of things like that in her house, but over the years she has had less and less.In the shops they have all these things that play music and i think they grate on you after a while, perhaps that is why she got rid of them do you think.

I started my collection of Christmas decorations years ago and add something new each year. I have not discarded any of the older decorations that I bought as each one holds a special memory and I enjoy using them year after year when I get the tree out and set it up and think back to where I bought it and why it caught my eye. I only have a very few that are musical and up to now I have not got fed up with using them.

I really like all of the older Christmas decorations like my grandmother had at her house. However, I don't know that I am too fond of the newer decorations. The main reason that I don't really like the newer decorations is that it doesn't seem to me like they are made to last. In addition to that, yes, the droning on of the music really can get on my nerves after a while. However, I do really like to decorate my house with lights and figures for the holiday season.

I think that therte are alot of musical decorations out there that sound great when they are new, but as they get older they sound really awful and just like you say they do not seem to last very long.I still have a few decorations that i had that were past down to me over the years and they are really made to last as well as they look christmasy.

I buy something like that occasionally but like you said...after a while it gets kind of sickening. So I buy it when I like it....but after a while I don't bother to wind it...or turn it on.

I think that if they are really tacky they never seem to be able to be turned off, as well as it sounds like the music needs to be speeded up.I know that there are some really nice sounding things that you can get, but after a while they do tend to grate on you a bit.We had a musical santa for years and in the end he sounded like he had a sore throat, lol.

Tis the season to be jolly not Bah Humbug. My wife likes the music and I don't mind it. we put up lights and pretty things over Thanksgiving weekend and then light it up the first Saturday in December. It stays working til after the first of January.

I put mine up and then what i do is after boxing day i take them down. There are alot of people that put their lights, trees etc up in November and they do not take them down until second week in the new year.I just think that there are alot of musical lights etc that tend to grate on you after a while.

These things may be cute the first time, but I agree with you.....they will drive you crazy after a while. I am not into the stuffed musical teddy bear type thingies......but my mother in law is...they are all over the place. Drives me up the wall. UGH!

I think that they can all sound great for a while as well, but after a while they do tend to get rather boring and they can after a while sound so dull like the music that is on them is in the need to be speeded up.I had a few musical things and they got on my nerves, so i gave them away.
