There is no form of taxation more unethical and dishonest than the estate tax. First of all, it is nothing more than robbing the dead. It proves that supporters of it truly believe that all property and money belong to the government, and they get to decide what we get to keep, and how property should be used.
Everything taken in an estate tax has already been taxed during the life of the person who died. Taxing it again is dishonest.. along with the people who take it, and demand it be taken.
It is nothing proof that we still have bigotry codified in our laws.

I agree with you on that one.
It was abolish in Australia some 30 years ago.
But countries like France still have it.
It is a fact of life that every government will tax you with everything they can get away with. On the other end, people are demanding more and more infrastructure, and the money has to come from somewhere.
