Opportunity Knock Once

Hi there Visavis! Yes, Opportunity knocks once and therefore, we should seize the day. Do what we can today because we will not pass on this part of our life again. Opportunities depends upon the person's principles in life, though. Not every chances are opportunities. Opportunities, I believe, are chances, possibilities to make ourselves or our life better. We should always be careful and be critical of these chances that we encounter along the way and be able to identify if they are simply chances or a rare opportunity.

I don't believe that opportunity knocks only once. In my experience, opportunities knock and come simultaneously in a single heap and leaves me distraught and confused on which opportunity I should take. in a sense, it is true but I can relate to that if I'm really desperate for a shot.

Nah, I think you have several opportunities throughout your life. I mean, if you think about it, everything is an opportunity. Soemtimes it takes a lot of tries to be successful. You can't give up hope just because one opportunity seems to not be getting you anywhere. I believe, and this is my personal philosophy, that we are all responsible for ourselves and our futures, and no one else. It's cause and effect, and it's up to us to find opportunities, they rarely come *knocking at our door* - as the saying goes - we have to go out and FIND them!

What this means to me, is usually when you have a chance to do something, you only get the chance once. So, if it is something you really want to do, you had better not put it off, because the chance may not come back. That being said, if you are looking, you will find opportunity in every challenge, and you will find that, opportunities for success, and a better life are abundantly around you. Hi Visavis. Yes, I do agree that a certain opportunity comes once in your life but it doesn't mean that there'll never be another opportunity waiting for you to come across with. It is logical and practical to grab an opportunity when you are available but there are also other opportunities that are not meant for us so we just let it slip away. An opportunity to get a new and high paying job in another country for example is something you should grab when you are all sold out to the idea of leaving the country and your family behind. But forcing yourself to marry the woman of your dream if you know that you aren't ready yet to settle down, is something that, well, you can consider to let it pass you by. Such opportunity will come to you again, only with a different dream girl. I hope I am making sense here, dear.
