Toy Story 3 made me cry

When was the last time you cried over a movie? Much less a cartoon (or digital animation, for this matter)? I recently watched Toy Story 3 (i know, i know, it's quite late) and once again was immersed in the wonderful world of toys. As a kid, I'd always imagined that my toys were alive in some way, so I'd go out of my way to build them homes and cars out of cardboard and any other material i could use. Those days became my training ground for being an entrepreneur. I sold a lot of those cardboard houses and vehicles to my playmates at a nice profit (that's another story for another day). Back to TOy Story 3. Andy had grown up and was on his way to college. I felt the same way about leaving my toys behind. They were a big part of my life so I empathized with Andy. The adventure started when they were placed in a garbage bag to be stored in the attic. Andy's mom mistakenly threw them out in the street and was immediately picked up by the garbage truck. Like every other TOy Story movie, the characters had equal share of the spotlight and shone in their "performances". Lots of funny moments. Buzz Lightyear's spanish mode was hilarious and had me on my seat's edge holding on for dear life to my aching ribs. Tears were streaming down my eyes from laughing so hard. Excellent! But the thing that really moved me was when they were in the incinerator and there was nowhere else for them to go. There were no words needed. They just looked at each other and reached for one another and held on. When they closed their eyes in utter surrender, I imagined all the lost toys I had and wondered if they went through the same thing. It broke my heart. I don't wanna spoil anything for those who didn't watch it yet. The ultimate heartbreaker was when Andy decided to give them away to the little girl who found Woody. Those minutes watching as he described each one and played with them along with the little girl was really heart wrenching. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you go watch it. Better yet watch all 3. and Best of all, bring the kids along! Life moves along so fast, you'll wish you were a kid forever, and as your kids grow, you'll wish they were too. We all have to grow up in one way or the other, we just have to make sure we put importance to what we;ve gone through in life and treasure all those moments we've had. Guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes.

I don't know of anyone who didn't cry watching this movie. If you didn't cry watching Toy Story 3, you either didn't understand the film, or you have no heart. This movie had everyone I know in tears.

Yeah, I was in tears, so was my mom. It reminded us of when we sent my brother off to college.

I loved Toy Story 3, it might even be my favorite out of the series. I think most kids like to believe that their toys were real and had feelings, I know I did when I was young. I loved my toys (and I still have a few of my favorites). I did not cry at Toy Story 3, it takes a lot to make me cry. I watched this animated movie called Plague Dogs, it was very very sad, and it may have made me cry, I honestly don't remember. But it was a great movie. The last movie that made me cry at the theaters was Marley and Me. I went with my sister and oh my gosh, we were both crying. The girl behind us was crying too (I could hear her sniffling) and when we were leaving the theater some guys walking out in front of us were commenting on how everyone around them was crying. LOL! marley and me brought the whole 'house' to tears. (I also cried when I read the book Marley and Me, and when I listened to the Audio CD of it). I always cry at Old Yellar, and Where the Red fern Grows. Sad animal movies will get me every time, it never misses. I also cry when children are hurt or killed.

Oh yeah, Plague Dogs was definitely depressing. An adult cartoon for sure, no kids should ever see it! I think I cried more while reading the book of Marley and Me then I did at the movie. I cried during the part where they found out Jenny had a miscarriage during the book, but not during the movie. The book also made me laugh out loud a lot more than the movie. So if you're ever looking for a good book to read, definitely give Marley and Me a try.

ma'am i believe i've seen most of the movies you've mentioned here being a guy, it also takes a lot to make me tear up and maybe because i'm advancing in age, it becomes easier to well up. anyway, Plague Dogs was actually one of those movies that made most people sit up and take notice and say huh? unlike the other cartoon films with dogs in it (All dogs go to heaven, lady and the tramp, etcetera) Plague Dogs was a sad, melancholic animated piece. i found it depressing. and my heart went out to all those dogs who were treated that way. Old Yeller too was a great movie and so was where the red fern grows. Marley and me was a movie suggested to me by my girl and i hated her each time that movie tugged at my heartstrings especially the part where he had to say goodbye while Marley was being put down and the words they recited during Marley's burial that was an excellent movie to test my tear ducts with

Toy Story 3 is really a great movie, especially for those who were able to watch the eariler Toy Story movies as a child. The incinerator part was pretty scary. I knew for sure that they would survive but it was still breath-taking. What was going through my mind during that time was how will they escape that inferno? The part that made me reaaaally teary eyed was when Andy gave all his toys to the little girl. I guess because we have seen the first 2 movies, we know everything the toys had gone through all those years with Andy...and then it all has to end there. You, me, and the rest of the viewers who grew up with Toy Story and I think we "grew up with the toys" and that it's a part of our childhood. Maybe that's why we feel that way. The children today who have seen Toy Story 3 as their first Toy Story movie wouldn't feel the same way for sure and it's something we have and "own" that the new generation doesn't have. After watching the movie, my brother and I were thinking about all our old toys. Too bad some of them were thrown away because we got termites. We remembered our GI joes in particular and matchbox cars, hahaha. Have a nice day! =)

No spoilers please!!! I wanted to see this. I've heard from a lot of people that it's a good movie! So I skipped over some of what you wrote just because I saw some spoilers in there..LOL. The last time I cried from a movie was a while ago, when I was Seven Pounds, specifically the ending. You know what I mean, if you've seen it!

I haven't seen it but it's on my list. Toy Story is my children's story. They are the same age with Andy. And yes, Woody and Buzz are still in our toy shelf. We had given many of our toys to other deprived children but the tiny miniatures remain in our home. One day perhaps, when my daughters are through with college, they would look at their toys again and decide what to do with them. Thanks chip, for reminding me to watch this animation. i will bring an extra hanky in case I burst into tears.

Toy Story Three eh, I watched that with Luca, my 3 year old boy. It was a good movie, except, my son completely lost it. Screaming, and Crying, and Hyperventilating, Red Faced, Hands clenched out like he was strangling someone. He did not like that the Toys were facing utter and complete destruction. I had to explain to him like 10 times, that "It all works out in the end, if it isn't working out it isn't the end." At least until, that part was over, which I think was one of the best ongoing, corny jokes in any movie I have ever seen. I found a couple of parts tear jerking myself, but I am a sentimental young fool. Sincerely and With Appreciation.

I started crying the moment mom looked at Andy's room, and it dawned on her that he had grown up and is really moving out. Awww! From then until the end, I couldn't stop my crying. Good thing I watched it alone on DVD. Would've bawled hard if it were at the cinema Will remember this movie for the longest time possible.

I watched Toy Story 3 with my 2 kids just for the sake of accompanying them watching it. I knew I'd be enjoying it coz I had fun watching the first 2 Toy movie but I didn't expect PIXAR would make the last TOY STORY movie very emotionally touching. For a dad like me, I hate to say it but yes the movie made me cry too... but only on the end part when Andy was about to give away his beloved toys for good. The scene made me thought 'I should have given away my old toys to a new kid instead of throwing all away in the garbage can.' Darn it.
