It seems that JK Rowling had always thought of Dumbledore as gay but had just never felt the need to state it. This is the way that most sensible people regard gay people: what people do in their personal lives usually has no relevance to how they are otherwise seen.
There is no knowing what Rowling will do in later life but she has always stated that the Harry Potter stories are finished and that she won't write any more on the subject, so it is very unlikely that she would write 'adult' fiction on the same story-line.
Most writers write many different kinds of fiction (and factual) books in their lifetime. If Rowling felt the need to further express her views on homosexuality, she might well do it in many ways, not necessarily in what is termed 'adult' fiction.

Very intersting.
I felt surprised, I love gay people and have nothing against it but really surprised me that she did that. Maybe it's good to introduce kids to homossexuality, like it does exist, maybe not. I wouldn't risk putting in mine as I'm writting a book too, and hopefully, kids and teenagers will love it.

Frankly it doesn't bother me one way or the other...being professional and not letting your preferences get the better of you matters more.

Sure, it can be good to the gay communitie also, I was just very surprised, I really didn't see he being gay or anything in that area, like remotely feeling love for someone.
I know that the kids that are HP fans won't grow up hating gays for sure, books and movies we watch as a kid can change our minds.

As the subject wasn't ever addressed or alluded to during the course of the Harry Potter series of books, and the series was completed with "Deathly Hallows" with an avowed "No More" after that, then nothing really has changed..Readers of the books and viewers of the Movies based on them know little about Dumbledore outside of Hogwarts School..We didn't need to,as the focus was not on his private life but his position as a Wizard and Headmaster. As far as I'm aware, none of his actions or motives during the series take a different meaning in the light of JK Rowling's Outing Him at series end..He's the same Man with the same motives.
Rowling May be considering adult writing at some stage..perhaps the revelation about Dumbledore was a step in that direction?

It was really surprising news but the good thing is that she might help the gay community to be more free, she is influencing kids to know about that cause I'm sure her kid fans is interested about her interviews, and she told that to a group of kids that were interviewing her.

Dumbledore Gay? I never thought I would here those two words in the same sentence!
How do you know he is gay?
I guess it is possible as there was never any mention of any relationship in the books. Maybe he was in a secret relationship with professor Snape!
