Today at the capitalist era not many people are willing to contribute to their country.
Even some politics stilling money from the weak.
So I want to ask: what will you do for your country?
Would you volunteer for several years to help the weak?
Would you learn a profession just for your country?
Would you go to war for your country?
Would you risk your life for your country?

hi I am a n American and I have paid taxes most o fmy adult life and at 84 and a female I am not going to go to war. I did my bit all my life working as a nurses aide I helped my fellow Americans and even at times took care of people bound for the service. I feel I have done my share and now its time for me to relax. I have donated money when I had it for my fellow americans. Now no I am not risking what few years I have left for anyone. I did my share now its time for others to do theirs.
I stick up here for my country when people keep bashing us because we did not do this or that.we have helped so many countries and now we need to helpour own coungtry out of the depression we a re in.

Quite a few of my countrymen go abroad and manage to give a bad name to my country by their actions. I don't, couldn't and wouldn't do that, so I suppose you might say this is something I'm doing for my country, but I'm actually doing it for myself. I don't consider myself a patriot, but a lover of humanity in general. I hope this doesn't sound too pompous! :)

Yes..You are right..We live in a totally capitalistic society and it tends to make people greedy. Luckily I've never ran into wealth, and have been quite on the poor side for the majority of my life, and so pretty much I'ev learned how to share. Ultimately I want to help people, as my career. Once I get my college degree that is. I want to either work in law enforcement or in law - probably some public attourney of sorts. I think this is doing good for the community. Helping people and keeping it safe as best as I can, anyway. I think that's a legit contribution if you ask me!

Good Day!
Well, the thing that I can do for my country is to be proud of it. I would do something so that the our country would be known world wide.

Being proud of my ethnicity will really help my country. I mean there are lot of nationality that criticizes us (I am a filipino by the way) just because we live in a third world country.
There are lots of things that I can be proud off. One is our famous "hospitality". Many foreigners, when they come to our country, appreciates our being hospitable.
In terms of industrial advancement, I will buy first the products made in our country than the products made outside our country.
