Changing myLot Members' IDs

Can anyone tell my why some myLot members feel the need to close or stop using one myLot ID and reappear with a new name. Have they been banned under the old ID or just been so nasty that their star rating (reputation) has fallen that they need a new persona. This I would understand if they changed their myLot personality but they do not and are easily recognized under their new alias. Some member(s) do this 4,5 or 6 times.
I really do not understand as their accumulated point go back to zero and they have to start building their points all over again. Any ideas why they do this and does myLot admin allow one person to have so many new accounts?

Yes they are still very transparent.... a new name does not a new person make.

Hello White Heather
,
There had been a few reasons why people delete and change into a new persona. how ever, it's still NOT allowed to have multiple accounts so, they just delete and make a new one. first, mylot no longer allows us to change our username using out current account.
The other is that some people tend to hide from negative rater scums since who don't care about stars and earning a bit high.
And another thing i got suspecious about. i think there was this glitch or error happened not a long while. One mylotter here experience his inability to change his minimum pay out that eh decided to have a new persona and that new one can help him change his minimum pay out or other information such as email addresses or paypal.
PS: i did try to change my email conformation and paypal email. when i log back in, it didn't change

A couple of years ago, I was dismayed when a really sweet mylot member was banned after another member had a fit about her having two different IDs. She had two because she got a lot of flack from people on her main one. Mylot banned her. But nowadays, it seems a lot of people have more than one, sometimes several extras. I guess mylot doesn't care so much about that anymore. I can understand if they just wanted to change it, and close their old account. But they seem to have several active accounts.

That was one of my questions. I was not sure if they could have more than one account.

MyLot allows each user to have only ONE account
and admin is adamant about this rule
as stated here at #6

There is another economical reason which has not been mentioned in the previous responses. There are some who have deleted their account to rejoin as the referral of other Lotters who offer incentives to their downline. They make no secret of the fact that they have cancelled and returned for this reason, especially if they have not acquired much activity in their original account as it is worth their while to do so if they are active.

I am so pleased you used the word 'debate' to define our conversations on here soonernation because after our last exchange a friend was concerned and sent me some energy drinks through a PM
I don't have any intentions of ever closing this one, no matter how interesting an offer you were to make

Hi Heather
I really do not know I mean I know a couple that have changed their Name and also changed the way they write but after a while they go back to their old ways which I know I would do as well so I stick it out and that has always worked out

Heather I know of several members who have been attacked by other Mylot Members for a number of different reasons, and although they wished to continue as members did not feel that they could continue under the same user names, so left and then returned with a different name.
At one time there seemed to be a group of members who joined up together for these attacks (don't know if they can still do this), but it can be very upsetting to those that it happens to.
There may be other reasons for leaving and returning as well.

I remember two or three years ago there were groups trolls who delighted in attacking other members but they seem to have moved on to new pastures.

I only know of one that has done this and you made reference to him in another discussion recently. I really don't know the reason behind it. You'd probably have to ask him . I know one time that he quit and closed out everything and waS gone for quite a while and then came back. not sure about the other times.

hello whiteheather! well, i have not been banned in here and i am not planning to be.
but as you have started the discussion, yes i have seen some members here who used to have renewed their accounts, changed their usernames but still having the same old names, just changed a bit for others to know that they are still the same person from that username before. well, there can be such reasons why they do such things. i have read lamby here got bored. i have known letranknight also had already changed his account having different username before. the reason why he did, i really can't remember now.
it's our every right to make new accounts or not. it's just that i have no plans for that. it's hard to gain reputations as well and make new friends. but overall, it's fun to be here.
