Not All Payment Processors are Created Equal

Most of us do some sort of money-making online...PTC, GPT, etc. Most of these paying websites will pay through PayPal or at least give you a choice of PayPal or AlertPay but then there are those that only offer AlertPay or even Alertpay or Liberty Reserve. I have a PayPal account as well as an Alertpay but have not opened a Liberty Reserve account. I'm a little leery of unfamiliar payment processors. I recently cashed out my first time at Clixsense which requires I use Alertpay, and nearly choked over the fees! Not only is there a fee for cashing out, but then Alertpay also charges a fee for transferring the balance to your bank! By the time I got my money, I had lost about 15% of the balance. Oh...and then I found out that Alertpay won't transfer amounts under $9 to my bank while PayPal only has a $1 minimum for a bank transfer. So I guess my question is, do you have a favorite payment processor? Are there any you avoid using? Do you have any suggestions that would help me maximize my earnings at the websites I work? Do you avoid websites that don't offer your favorite payment processor? I would really like some advice on this issue.

I have always used Paypal but there fees can also be quite high and i have had to open a alertpay as some sites will only let you cash out to that, this is a ongoing issue and we always lose out.

It's funny to hear about PayPal fees because I don't have any fees transferring from PayPal to my bank whereas AP and LR both charge fees for those transactions.

Yes, you are right. I am going to have to save up funds in alertpay in order to cash our and zero out my account so that I can close it but I do plan to close it. Thanks for your input. I realize not all of us are in the US and Paypal does charge foreign countries fees for the exchange since it is a US based company. Alertpay is based in Costa Rica so I imagine that is why it charges US members like it does. Have a great day!

Each has positive and negetive points, for mylot, neobux i use paypal, but it has changed policies that would be effective from march 2011, as per PBI guidelines. To get a check from clixsense encashed is real headache, for earning of 10$, you get check of 7$, my bank charged equivalent of 10$ to collect this, hence i lost not only this, but paid from my hand, alertpay is equally horrible for indians.. Thanks for sharing Cheers. God bless you, have a nice day ahead. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. .
