I find that when i get off to sleep, if there is a slight noise then it tends to wake me up.Even when i am trying to get off to sleep if there is anything that is making a noise i really find it hard to get off to sleep.I think this is due to being a light sleeper.

I used to be a light sleeper. When I was a kid, into my teens years, anything would wake me up. And I guess I'm still a little like that. But I don't sleep much anyway. So nowadays when I do nod off eventually, I sleep a little deeper. So I'm not awakened by small things much anymore.

I have the same problem! I am a light sleeper and every litle noise wakes me up! I really hate that! I also am that way sometimes when I want to get to sleep! It is very frustrating! Sometimes I am tired during the day and when I can I will take naps! Underwise I am aa walking zombie!

I am a very light sleeper that not only the noise but even a power cut at night wakes me up. And then it takes me time to go back to sleep and i look at the other family members snoring happily with envy. Happy mylotting.

When Kathryn and Paul were really little, I would definitely say that I woke up at the drop of a needle. However, now that they are a little bit older, it takes quite a bit to wake me up. The alarm clock doesn't really wake me up most of the time. I think the reason that my sleep is different now is because of the fact that they are older and also because of the fact that we live on a quiet street so I know that sounds while I am sleeping are just things that are within the house.

If anything, I am the complete opposite. Nothing short of a shrill alarm in the morning will wake me up, and even then I'm still groggy. I really have to make a concious effort to get up.

Yes I hve to have it so quiet when i go to sleep! If my husband leaves the television on it will wake me up in the middle of the night and then I will have a hard time waking up for work the next day!

I don't think I do. I usually have a very sound sleep. I don't wake up at slight noises. However if someone starts screaming like hell or upset something heavy on the floor, then the sound may wake me up. I remember an incident that took place a few weeks ago. About an hour after I fell asleep I was awakened by a howl. It was a dog. Though we don't usually say that about a dog, but it was more like a howl. For some unknown reason a stray dog was quite upset. It walked on the wall in a nervous manner and howled every now and then. The sound was so sombre and moving that I woke up at once. I don't even know what time it was. But I could not sleep. Within minutes from the dog started howling all the dogs in the neighborhood joined and it suddenly became too noisy to sleep. However, after about half an hour or so the dog stopped howling. I went to bed again.

Hello joystick,
Same in me. Even how good my sleep is if ever i heard any slight noise i still able to wake up. It seems that my ears are always wide open and ready at all times to listen to anybody around even my whole consciousness are in deep sleep. Before i consider this as a deficiency but as years pass i learned to accept it and live with it. (I rather be good as a security guard! LOL! ) The hard thing sometimes is the hardship in going back to sleep again but if i fill this moment by reading or watching tv or internet i can make it till morning without sleeping but i chose not so i decided to still stay in bed until falling asleep again.
Happy myLotting!!!!

. I find it hard to sleep too- sometimes 20-30 minutes pass and I'm still wide awake..
