Tips on How to Succeed in life

We all want to succeed, but not everyone has the inherent habits or personality to do so. These things can be learned. So here's a few tips for those who want to learn how to succeed.
1. Assess your personal value and potential.
- Who are you? What are you capable of? What is the value of what you do and how much should you earn for the time spent on certain tasks you undertake?
After you've assessed all of this and put a monetary value on yourself and the tasks you undertake you should be able to have a clear sight of your own personal value and your potential.
Be as critical of yourself as possible and be your own boss. Be strict and be disciplined.
2. Devise a plan
- Now what do YOU want to DO?
This could become a really long discussion so I'll set the topic for this.
PLAN TO SUCCEED.
Success can come in the form of money, status, relationships etcetera but we'll focus on CAREER GROWTH.
Career Growth can lead to success financially, emotionally, bolstered self esteem and more time for self.
Again, PLAN TO SUCCEED.
define your own success.
3. Set a goal
- Now that you already have that notion to succeed, define your goals. Again, this is a personal thing, everyone has their own goals.
Example:
My goal was to grow career wise, help my family and still have enough time for my other interests.
So far I am now a manager in one of our family business' departments and currently indulging in my hobbies, namely my band, AcidRadio (Shameless, shameless, shameless plug at acidradioband.com), writing and earning online (freemagasin.com) and customizing my Volkswagen.
I've hit my original goal and I am currently doing Step 7 again (you'll see later).
4. Create Step Goals
- NOTHING HAPPENS OVERNIGHT.
- it all takes planning, goal setting and creating the necessary steps to reach that goal.
Everyone is allowed to dream big and to have grandiose plans but most plans often end up in failure due to lack of planning.
In order to succeed you must take calculated risks. Define mini goals to achieve your ultimate goal.
My success took years to achieve, I just never lost my motivation and drive.
I made adjustments here and there but they were calculated risks.
Move in a logical manner. Never lose sight of the ultimate goal, create step goals to achieve it. Every little victory ultimately wins the war. And for every victory you should rejoice.
5. Make a deadline
- Again, YOU, will define this.
Create a deadline to make your plan timebound. You can plan all you want but if you NEVER make a move, you will never achieve anything.
Time waits for no one, so you should work alongside it.
Stick to a deadline, and make it realistic too.
6. Evaluate
- After you've gone through the first 5 steps and arrived at any form of success, you should evaluate yourself.
Why'd you succeed? Why'd you fail?
Document these things. Improve the failures. Continue the successes. This will be your control measure so that you have data to back you up when making critical decisions. This will be crucial to your success.
7. Do it all over again
After you've done all this... DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN.
perfection comes from habitual practice.
Go back to step 1 and up to this step.
Good Luck on your endeavors!

1 ambition
Unsucessful than sucessful people is the lack of ambition
No action "great ideal" not really ambitious.
2 confidence
Confidence has insisted in the end, this allows you to persevere.
95% of the world who want to be successful, of whih only 95% of people do not start up, up 95% of those who did not insist.
3 the strength
Strength is important, it is a comprehensive strength, including IQ,EQ,konwledge of the number. This is one of the most important emotional intelligence.
4 luck
This thing is real.
5 start
To specify your criteria for success, no goal will never be able to succed.
Determine the objectives, actions from now, start preparing, the opportunity has always been to people who are prepared.

Great Post, great additions.
Keep up the good work. This is how it is done, but only those that want to succeed will even bother to read it. According to some that would be about 3% of the people in the world...hold up, don't 3% of the people control 97% of the money. Imagine that.
Sincerely and With Appreciation.

heh yeah
some people just take life as it is and don't really work at getting what they dream of
of course dreams need to be acted on and it's not easy trying to make dreams come true
as long as you work hard enough to achieve it, you'll get nearer and nearer to making em real

That's all great and all, but life is unpredictable. You can plan and plan, and then before you know it, something comes up that can screw up all of your plans. Everyone always thinks that they can plan for everything and plan for success, but it doesn't always happen like that. Sometimes, you just have to act. Forget planning, just go out there and do it.

If you believe your plans will work, more often then not they will. If you think, something will come up, that will probably happen to.
Acting is very important, but if you are working at nothing, where does that get you?
Plan, work the plan, revise, repeat.
Sincerely and With Appreciation.

Okay, I did that, I made plans and I was working on them, and I thought, I was sure that I was going to succeed, and then I lost my voice, I was in a car accident, I was at a party that I shouldn't have been at, and I lost my brother... I had to change my plans.
I have new plans now, but how long am I going to have these plans? Don't know. Life is unpredictable. Again, people think that they can plan for everything, but you really can't. Life just happens. Take from a person who has been there.
