I use Dropbox all the time. When I want to share large files from my home PC to my friend's office PC's, I upload them in Dropbox instead of saving them in a flashdrive. It's a little more convenient because our company doesn't allow us to brind in flash drives in the offices. Do you know of other websites with free storage services?

I use yousendit, which is ok, only that the files are available for a limited period of time, then they're deleted. In my office, it's exactly the other way around - we're allowed to bring in flash drives and even external hard drives, but not to load the files to online storage sites - because, let's face it, they're not 100% secure. A file, once uploaded online, can be accessed by anybody, in theory.

Hi charlestng, Yes, there are limitations; as a free user, the maximum file size is 100 MB and you can only have 100 downloads of the same file before it is deleted. You can also not upload multiple files at once, you need to do so with each of them individually

I've always used 4shared when I am trying to send data to other people. However, this isn't something that I do on a regular basis. I'm not familiar with Dropbox. But, when I am doing things locally, I will typically just carry a flash drive with me because I know that is a lot more secure than any other options that I would have otherwise. That is just a matter of my own opinion, I suppose. But I think that carrying data on my person is the best choice.
