Any speculation on why Keith Olbermann was canned? Friday Olbermann announced it was his last show. MSNBC said they did not renew his contract. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2011/01/21/olbermann-announces-leave-msnbc/ Why do you think Olbermann was canned? was it the violation of his contract for campaign contributions? Was it his hateful rhetoric? He was the top show on that network. Why would they cancel that? What do you think he will do now? Back to sports? maybe start a cooking show? maybe a reality show? What do you think?

I accidently saw that Olbermann had quit/been canned, as I was flipping through channels and landed on CNN. They tended to believe Olbermann would be back on something, sometime soon in the future. I tend to believe he won't be back. Fox wouldn't hire him; NBC, ABC, and CBS wouldn't hire him; I don't even think CNN would hire him. A reality show, cook show, sports? I just don't see a fit (in his current form) for him anywhere. I hope he's saved lots of money; he may be in early retirement... If he does show up, I really don't think it will be on TV. He may join a Soros-funded organization, and be a(nother) liberal speaker on our college campuses... I'm not sure how many people would show up, but I bet some university would pay money to come have him speak. And just as long as they don't use my tax dollars to book him...I don't care where he speaks. And now that I know my nieces/nephews (20s and early 30s) are moving right, and they wouldn't be there, then I'm fine. (Even my most liberal NYer nephew thought Palin got a raw deal during the Tucson murders. He still wouldn't vote for her, but then, I told him that was cool. I don't think I would either if I were allowed to vote in the R primaries. But if it comes between Palin and Obama, right now, I'd vote for Palin. I'm hoping I'll have a better choice, and besides, Palin can't beat Obama in a general election.)

I just don't think Palin can draw enough of the Rs and Is to pull it off. I may be wrong, but... When you've crawled out on a liberal limb like Olbermann has and then saw it off, where do you go, but down? If he'd been a little more balanced, he might have had a chance somewhere else, but I just don't see him doing any TV hosting...ever. Before he disappears, I bet we see him on Lettermen, Maher, etc... And then "bye".
