The University of Santo Tomas (Philippines) is where I took up college and medical school. And this coming week is a week-long celebration of its quadricentennial anniversary. That's right! My beloved alma mater is already 400 years old come January 28, 2011. It was established by the Spaniards in the year 1611 when they still colonized the country. It has come a long way since then, being the only royal and pontifical university in Asia, with the Pope as the highest leader. I'm just proud of my school and I want to share it with you. Have a great day everyone!

University of Sto. Tomas is much much older than the Harvard University in the US. Another thing that can be proud of. I studied in UST (University of Sto. Tomas)in early 90's in the Graduate School, I took Master of Arts in Political Science. But due to busy schedule as I was also employed that time, I wasn't able to finish my masteral degree.
